Question remove stock boost solenoid?

Anyone know if removing the stock boost solenoid on an evo would mess anything up? I have an apexi AVC-R and I was wondering if I should just leave it on or what?

Mine is completely removed. You just need to disable the code in your ECU with ECUFlash.

I believe removing it can screw things up with the ECU.
However, the flashing the ECU after removal may take care of the problem.

I just capped the ends of mine off and left it plugged in and all though. I run a Hallman MBC, and I have zero issues.

Nope, the worst it can do is throw a Service Engine Soon light but won't have any negative issues besides that. Disable to appropriate bit and you'll never see the light

I know this thread is a few year old but cut to the point...

I removed the skinny hose looking thing that restricts you from pushing more psi & now I'm not getting anymore boost cut, is that the boost solenoid & is there any bad things about that? I'm getting my car tuned soon.. Please reply back asap car hasn't been tuned just straight pipe, bov & apexi intake...

Boost solenoid located on driver side frame rail under air filter.

I'm not 100% sure, mine is the jdm evo 7 RHD... A hose disconnected from solenoid, (mine is on the left side passenger) is that bad?

No,it's not bad as long as electrical connector not unplugged.but cap both nipples on boost solenoid.

Electrical connector is in, only one hose has been disconnected & has a screw inside so nothing gets through... Feels like its boosting less but drives fine, I want to run my normal stock boost without a tune atm...

If you want to run stock boost again, bypass mbc if you have one and connect the line from wg and boost source back to solenoid.don't know exactly what line goes to what nipple.
