Keep working on it.

Boost leak test, actuator, physically check everything.

no one seemed to ask about the meth.....what is your afr??? is the meth leaking??? is the aquamist leaking causing you lower HP numbers>>???

diverter valve leaking>??
WG actuator bad??? get the higher pressure one. as stated earlier, your boost controller could be maxed OR stuck......if its a manual boost controller....

boost leak will be your FIRST place to look. you could have a torn intercooler boot somewhere or a loose hose clamp.

good luck.

[quote=Carloverx;8014514....We removed the wastegate, crushed the spring, tightened/adjusted it max...[/quote]You are not supposed to crush the WGA! Some of us do crush the IX metal DV though. The WGA's for the 16G are all adjustable and therefore do not require crushing of the cannister. So, don't try this trick boys and girls. If you crushed the cannister on your WGA.... then just write it off and toss it away. Crush the DV, but not the WGA

Your stock bov is opening up at that boost level.

I don't remember off the top of my head, but afr were somewhere in the mid to high 11's across the entire pull.

Yeah, that's exactly what happened, 30psi, crushed it, 33psi.
But let's say i replace the bov, does this only mean i can run more than 33psi? After spending hours and hours and hours reading about fpreds, i didn't expect to need more than 33psi to make high 400, low 500 on a dj? I'm really trying to find out where I'm loosing hp with that current boost level?

On the topic of wastegates, I'm not sure if and how a wg could cause the turbo to be blowing hot air to maintain the 33psi? (excuse my ignorance)

Here's something i think will be insightful (but who knows): I'm making 400whp at exactly 5,000rpms which i think is better than your average stock motor FPred setup car? (granted there are different dynos etc and one's off meth etc etc)
So i'm making good power until then, it seems. One would think 400 @5k should be more than 440 @7k.....

Do you have a powercurve, boost curve, and full mod list you can post?

You are in good hands with Mr. Ivey for sure.

What is the maximum boost for the fp red ball bearing & how is it on pump fuel 98 octane? Is it required to upgrade the actuator from 18 to 25?
