Evo 9 mr --> fp black??
pardon the resurrection, but much time has passed and thought I would update. the verdict is I found an fp black for cheap. I am planning on getting injectors, cams, turbo, headstuds and a tune this week. I want to see if i can get 440 or so uncorrected dynojet and around 370 tq on stock block/six speed. Just for highway use to see how it holds up. If it blows, 2.4 and swap my 5 speed from my garage.

I was seriously considering the FP Green, but after reading your thread, I've decided against it. I may try the FP Red or Map EF3. I like the idea of not having too much torque too soon.
I missed this thread some how. I'm still running my 6spd, stock ACD t-case and diffs with 87k on them. The trans was taken apart to inspect for wear and install a spray bar. The gears/syncros are perfect. Now on to what you want to know.
Daily driven for a month before a rod broke at this level.
FP Black 30-40psi in gears 1-4. Took it like a champ.
Gears 5-6: seem to hold just fine at part throttle
I wouldn't worry to much about 4xxhp just keep the TQ under 400 for the rods/gears. Once I find the time to assemble the new block I'll find how much the trans can take at the Texas Mile again.

Stock tranny here I ran the black and meth in my 05 MR. Was pushing 542whp n 45Xwtq
Now I'm running more wtq 490wtq but less whp on my stock mr tranny.
Depends how rough you get, before I was running stock clutch on fpred too.

For reaching your stated goal of 425 WHP on 93, I would do the Black. The Green isn't gonna give you 425 WHP on 93. The Red probably won't either on your limited mods, especially on a stock IC.
There are a lot of pump gas dyno charts on the Dyno Tuning and Results subforum. I would do some studying on there if I were you.
It sounds like you want relatively high HP while keeping midrange torque levels down so as to preserve your present drivetrain. In that case I would stay away from the HTA Green as it is a torque producing monster and high torque is what's gonna do in your drivetrain.
The Black will give you the highest HP while keeping torque lower than the other two turbos. It can get you to your 425+ target on 93 while the other two just can't.

The verdict is in and the numbers are 436/387 on pump 93@ 28 lbs.
So far I have driven this setup for 2000 m iles daily with plenty of aggressive driving thrown in and 7.5k pulls. The car runs outstanding so far and I'm on act clutch and stock 6 speed trans.
I did however go with s2s and a toxicfab man along with map ss02 and id1000 injectors. The spoolinup cop helped as well with driveability.
I have a ported Cbrown intake manifold waiting and will upgrade t/b along to a full 3" catback and dump for max optimization.
