not sure if this is the issue, was reading around and some people say when the bat is low (which mine is) cam and crank sensor cods pop up, but not sure because the car turns over and runs for like 30 seconds then starts to misfire and it dies. how could a low bat keep the car from running?

It only bolts on one way. IXs do anyway. Are you throwing codes? If so you might need a new sensor. I had this same issue with my IX which uses a sensor on both cams. I assumed they were the same and didn't pay any attention to which one was which when it came out. It started just fine, ran just fine for about 30 secs or so, then just died. It was throwing both cam sensor and crank sensor codes. Swapped the sensors around and everything has been great since.

the sensor will not go in backwards. You could have possibly swapped the trigger wheels, from intake to exhaust, or gotten the exhaust cam trigger wheel on 180 degrees off. PS both sensors are the same, the trigger wheels are different but the physical sensor is not.

What do you have the little ground strap bolted to? Sometimes I have seen the silicone on th ebackside of the cam sensor housing cause a bad connection. Try going to a good chasis ground, there is one close to the battery in front of the shock tower
