Im on RON 98 BTW!!

ThanX
your tuner doesn't sound familiar with evos or just wants to sell you something you don't need.

I am a bit confused. I have used the formula to calculate required injector size for desired HP and if I am looking for 650hp, I calculated 1200cc injectors. I have also read charts from injector manufacturers that doesn't match what some of you guys are saying. Can someone explain this in more detail maybe? How can you reach 700 hp from 1000cc injectors?

You could install 2000cc injectors but if you don't have enough fuel pressure behind them the size of the injectors opening doesn't help the situation.

I understand the fuel pressure thing. I have the walbro with an inline bosch and 1000cc injectors now. I thought that since my goal was 650 on pump gas, I'd require larger injectors. (based on the injector sizing formula) It would be nice to reach my goal without spending money on larger injectors.

injector sizing formulas can be confusing especially when you don't know the real BSFC and they are talking about flywheel hp.

also to be clear, when I hit 700awhp on q16 with twin walbro and PTE 1000cc, the AFR was too lean and IDC's were through the roof so I wouldn't suggest stretching it that far.

No, the Bosch 044 is an external pump. You would use one in addition to the in-tank pump.

you can run one in tank, but its rather large. bosch also makes an 040 that is shorter and for in tank use.

Do you have an issue with the stock FPR being over run and base fuel pressure sky rocketing and then not being a static rise based of Boost pressure?
