No need for expensive retainers unless going over 9k rpm.. stock is lighter than anything..

These springs are the best thing to happen to this market since E85! I have them on my car with stock retainers in the stock seats running kelford 272's, on a mildly ported/rebuilt head from MAP using stock valves. I have an economical 'built' head for under $1k that I can rev to 8500 w/o worry. And yes, I have, many many many times!

the stock retainer can be used with our beehive springs when using the standard install height. IE keeping the pressure to stand install and not shimming.

The factory retainer is aluminum of some kind and while it is really light I'm not 100% sure of its capacity as far as spring load. FYI we haven't had a failure reported to us on the stock retainer using our beehives out of the 500 or so sets we have running in cars.

Also peak RPM isn't determined by retainer material or strength but by weight, and the stock retainer is just as light as the titanium we sell.

As far as running titanium retainers. we offer the titanium retainers in the 5040 kit including: springs and ti retainers; and also the 5041 kit that offers bases, springs, and a retainer for WFO setups.

Now a couple of reasons to switch to the titanium. for one strength in that you can run higher spring pressures or higher lift cams which bring up spring rates. for 2 the stock retainer will touch the seal above 11.4mm of valve lift causing some issues. and 3rd because its just cool to run titanium any where you can.

If anyone has any questions for me just ask and ill answer them.
