car knocks bad over 23psi.
the copper plugs should work fine for now, but i still recommend the other plugs, hands down. you spent some money on your evo, why go cheap with plugs?
You will notice a misfire, it will come in the form of breaking up under boost. if you have a wideband, a misfire will also register as fast lean spikes. you may or may not get a DTC for misfires...this will not be a reliable way to tell. trust me, if it misses, youll know it.

okay so i went for a slow drive to my girlfriends house and it may be all in my head but the car feels more responsive and it doesn't putter and hesitate anymore when the car isn't fully cold! hopefully the knock isn't from the camshafts....
Can you datalog at all? How do you know how much knock you're having? The knock light could be setup to blink at the on-set of 1 count of knock....fact is, we don't know the settings. Don't get all worked up just yet......I need to know the knock light settings in your ROM and really need to see some datalogs before we go freaking out.
Check your oil. If it looks like mayo, and you're loosing coolant and/or the coolant reservoir is overflowing, it's your headgasket. If you have not noticed those things, i would not jump the gun just yet.
