Contact English Racing and talk with Aaron or Lucas and they have what you need to quite down your car to stock levels, but keep the flow volume greater than a straight pipe 3 inch exhaust. Tell them Andrew told you to call.

I'd rather not mess with cutting the muffler out and messing with hangers and stuff. Plus I like the way the helix exhaust looks. It would be real sweet if this would fit before the helix muffler.

I want to weld this into the mid-pipe.

I found this:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/8046867-post95.html

Looks like he fit an oval muffler about the same size as the VT in the cat section.

Nice thanks for that. I guess I'll have to measure and see what will fit. If I can't fit the big Dynomax VT, maybe I'll still be able to fit a Magnoflow 6" round muffler where the cat is or in the mid-pipe.

Here is a video clip I took on my iphone 3gs of my car idling.

http://www.neiu.edu/~asaakian/Exhaus...%20exhaust.avi

I got disrupted hence why it was cut short. I tried talking to help compare the loudness to my voice. So this would sort of give an idea of how quiet or loud it really is in comparison to something in the video.

I have a 3" inlet, dual 2.5" outlet Xforce Varex muffler which uses a remote control to open and close the valve for more or less flow (meaning no drone at all or full on open exhaust). Here are some photos:

I was going to use it but this thing isn't getting installed anytime soon. It's brand new in box.

Let me know if anybody is interested in it. There seems to be a lot of ppl wanting to quiet down their exhaust so I figured somebody may use this. PM me for more details.

I gave up on all this custom crap and ended up buying the HKS SPORT exhaust. I am 100% happy with the purchase. It honestly is near stock levels in the cabin even at cruise. It does get loud when you tromp on it but that's when I want it to perform. The best part.... it looks stock.

Does the exhaust taper down anywhere?

How much did you get it for and from where?

The exhaust does not taper down anywhere it's 75mm or 2.9" throughout and it fit like a glove. No dicking around with moving hangers or worrying about it melting your bumper.

I like to keep my cash fairly local so I purchased from MAPerformance and was very pleased with the service I received. I paid $400 shipped.

Here is a shot looking down the muffler:

Here is a shot to indicate the size of the inner pipe. This is a beer can:

It fits nicely as I like it to extend past the bumper an inch or two. My last attempt at a straight back exhaust was using a magnaflow muffler and ebay TBE. I made that one flush and ended up having some fire burping damage. Though I suppose if you wanted to make it flush it would be very simple.

Here is a picture of my Magnaflow. You can see the amount of dicking around I had to do to get it to fit correctly (centered and not angled like a ricer). Even then after buying 3" mandrel bends, chopping, and welding I still encountered problems with the exhaust hangers tearing holes in the ebay piping. What a headache. I'm confident that the HKS will hold up.

I'm on my third VT muffler....it was fine for about a week, and now it's rattling again.

I think I'm about done with these mufflers...

My VT muffler rattles every once and while, and honestly it's cool. My car vibrates and makes all kinds of noises. Sort of like my girl..

On the other hand, all my neighbors love me now as well as my girl's rents.
