Thanks for the testing. Once the valve opens, how loud is it compared to the Magnaflow muffler in the Buschur system?

Well once the valve opens during a WOT pull it seems like its the same loudness as WOT with hfc and buschur magnaflow muffler.

This is my plan I'm glad I decided on the larger displacement version as well based on your new info!

Hey this looks awesome, I'll be replacing my Works Axle-Back muffler with a custom cat-back using the Dynomax VT. I will be going with the larger displacement version as well, paining the canister flat black and welding on the stock tip. The cops in the Quebec area are getting out of hand with the exhaust tickets since the new law came into play, where the officer's ear is the only legal way of deciding whether an exhaust is too loud or coforms with the law. We don't even have the right to a db level test as the courts did not approve of a db meter yet.

So I will be running a DNP O2 housing, generic 3" dp, megan resonated TP, magnaflow resonator in a custom 3" midpipe and the dynomax on the tail end. I will post some videos once I'm done.

Cool.

I just painted my muffler today semi gloss black which looks a lot better than flat black IMO.

I just found out about the VDR (virtual dyno) program in the ECU flash section. I will probably do a run with each setup (VT muffler vs Standard Magnaflow) and see if there is a difference. Maybe even go to the track in the near future and compare each.

When you guys install yours let me know if it rattles and what solutions you come up with. I think it will for you guys as well.

As I have said before, I have the Megan exhaust and really HATE the drone. Do you think on the highway cruising at ~80 mph ~4K (I have the MR) that the flapper will stay closed ? Or do you think the exhaust will be quieter than the Megan ?

I also wonder if I should change the intermediate pipe out and get rid of the resonator and just go with one of these ?

Got mine installed yesterday, and I have to say its the best investment I've made in a while Idle and cruise conditions are like stock as the OP mentioned which is exactly what I was after. To address the question above, cruising between 70-75mph in my MR is as quiet as can be

I haven't been able to discern a rattle at this point which is good, the only unusual sound occurs upon switchover as there is a bit of reverberation (for lack of a better word) as the valve starts to open. It only occurs for a split second and is pretty faint, so I certainly wouldn't let this persuade anyone from buying one of these

I wish there was a way to retain this effect and somehow have it placed in the testpipe location .

Please disregard my scraped bumper (Was like that when I bought it) and semi rusted exhaust tubing, for the record I do not recommend 409SS exhaust if your vehicle will be driven daily throughout a Minnesota winter I went with the stock exhaust tip for a real sleeper look.
