What cam's/setup do you have?

I am worried about this too because I have a 2.3L and GSC S2 cams, which are loopy at idle. I am concerned with my 2.3 and cams it will do the same thing.

Video or sound clips possibly?

I recieved mine in from Jegs today. I have yet to open it up and check it out, but I plan on seeing what can possibly be done about rattling issues. I wonder if exit was longer would the rattle be noticeable...

I have a tip installed, no affect on rattle noise.

My cams are the #2 something, I forget.
Phenem, I don't think there is any chance you will not rattle without some sort of modification.

Mine should be here tomorrow and my car idles at 1100 with a good amount of lope (BF272 cams). To try it, I should be able to just slip it on in place of the Magnaflow. If the rattle is really bad it goes back or I'm calling Dynomax to find out if they have redesigned the valve, per the comments on TitanTalk that I referenced above.

What do you guys want ? The sound of the wind blowing and a cricket chirping?

Seriously I dont have the muffler any more. I'm waiting for jegs to send me a replacement. When I get that I will make the sound clip if Chris doesnt post by that time.

Wow so many people wanting to be quiet

Some of us just want to be assured that it is "stock like".

The term "stock like" gets thrown around too often in this forum..especially when it comes to exhaust note/Spool-up/Dampening/Idle, etc. SHOW ME!

If all you can hear with this muffler is crickets chirping and the wind, I'll definitely be getting one.

I agree with this. I setup the whole double magnaflow exhaust and was not impressed at all by its quietness. I am back on the stock catback because its the only thing that doesn't lead to me getting pulled over all the time. Hopefully this truly does turn out to be "stock quiet."

Well something that all of you should know by now that when I say its quiet then it is quiet.

Just checked on Jegs. They have received my muffler gave me a credit but the replacement muffler is on back order status. Possibly DynoMax is fixing/or has fixed the issue and a new batch is waiting to arrive.

LOL I agree 100%....My wife said to me just the other day : "why don't you just put the stock exhaust back on"...

Heh, that is exactly what I did for quite a while now...had to be at least a couple years. Ever since I did it, I just love my car again. I have the e-cutout too, but never use it. I still run 30psi on E85 through the stock catback and I love the stock quietness.

That's why if this muffler does that for idle and cruise, then I can use my 3" pipe again from cat-back and this new muffler. I actually wouldn't mind more power at WOT as well (cut-out open is about 30 whp more IIRC). It's just idle and normal cruising, since this is my daily driver, that I want stock quiet.

Its more enjoyable to drive when you dont have to worry about being in a high gear around town so you dont make so much noise. I was planning on running 30psi with meth on a red through the stock catback. I'd like to see how this pans out.
