you guys must be ninja quite cuz i have 2 bullits and its not that loud. Maybe in wisconsin we just have a differnt idea of loud. After I almost hit a few deer last year ive been considering going strait pipe to scare off any critters in the road. Its nice to be registered to the reservation lol.

I don't think it's about being ninja quiet. It's about being back to stock like quiet, but keeping as much performance as possible.

Maybe it comes with age for us older guys...maybe it's something else, but after a while having a loud car is just f'ing annoying. My Evo is my daily driver. If I could have it dead silent, I would.

As a matter of fact, I think my next car is going to be something like the Tesla Model S. 100% electric and 0 sound (well very close to 0 sound). Can't wait to start modding those cars. ; )

I should have my new one by the end of the week.

For me, I just want to avoid exhaust tickets. Around where I live, louder-than-stock 4 cyl cars get ticketed a lot. No worries in my long-tubed Camaro though. Only comment I ever received on that one from a cop was complimenting the exhaust note

My reason is that I'm moving to Germany for the next 4 years and they severely frown upon any loud exhaust.

Right now, I am sporting a gigantic magnaflow on my evo (damn truck sized), and although all of my buddies think it's too quiet...it's just because they are rocking titanium cannons on their evos.

I need as close to stock as possible.

Around the province of Quebec, we have the same problem, especially on the island of Montreal and the north and south shores as well. The ricer phenomenon lasted pretty long out here, where you will still see neon-undercarraige-toting Sunfires armed to the teeth with fart cannons and strobes on their dremel-cut hoods. We actually have quite a few cops in our local tuner community who will subjectively (thanks to the new exhaust law which denotes a police officer's ear as having bionic capabilities) pull over a car that they deem "too loud" and get slapped with a 150$ ticket, which doesn't even imply that you have to get the exhaust "fixed" either. They don't pull over the myriad Harley Davidsons and Fox-body Stangs rocking straight pipes for reasons still unbeknownst to us all. Maybe the selection process for the Quebec police force involves a DNA test to check for a minimum level of redneckia hillbillalmus

I'm still waiting for dynomax to confirm that their distributors have stopped selling the defective models since it costs me 50$ just for the shipping from JEGS or Summit. I don't need to pay for shipping twice for something that won't work properly.

AND COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC : To cij911 that keeps asking in this DYNOMAX VT thread about the Greddy SP2, yes it's quiet. How quiet? Louder than stock quiet, but quieter than a magnaflow quiet.

According to Fedex tracking mine should be arriving today.

As soon as I get it I'll check out to see any visual difference on the inner valve. If the difference is noticeable, I'll take a picture to post. Also I'll install it and update your guys.

Received my replacement muffler today. I did the warranty exchange through jegs.

Here is the muffler I received:

So would this mean my muffler is not the revised one? (0910089) I checked the valve inside and it pretty much looked the same and with tight clearance.

I'll just go a head and install it for now and see if it rattles.

I would contact Dynomax for clarification sir, I think we're all just assuming the 0909 or 0910 means September and October of 2009, but who knows that the last three numbers are lol.

Well I installed it. When I turned on the car zero exhaust noise but a nice clanking rattle. Off goes the muffler. Damn it!

Chris, did you send your's back to Jegs for replacement or straight to Dynomax ?

Dynomax sent me a new one. I never even had to prove I bought one. Maybe I just sound honest They did NOT want the old one. Guy suggested to send it to the curb. Hah.

You need to speak to tech support.
