AWD Motorsports ran a 6057 out to 560whp at 31psi on E85. I would look for a bigger turbo unless you are going to run something other than a 2.0 or E85 and more boost. Depending on engine size a 6262 with a .63 A/r still makes good power pretty easily. We have a local 2.3 running around at 546 at 25psi on E85 with pumpgas timing. In otherwords he could be making the same power on 92 octane but is using E85 for the safety factor and reduced EGTs. His is spooled around 4300 or so.

you have to push the black alot harder than the 6262 to make 600.

6262 seem like it is going to be the one for you. Anything less than 600hp, a stock framed turbo is probably your best bet.

I would say cost effective HP:

~550HP PTE5857 T3 .63

~600HP+ PTE6262 T3 .63

~700HP+ HTA3586 T3 .82

.
ps. a tubular mani for a stock frame turbo + decent O2 dump + intake + FP red/black etc + other odds will end up costing as much as putting together a turbo kit with one of the above turbos... maybe more...

6262 with a .63 A/R will make 700+WHP. The 3586 is good for 10-20 more whp over a 6262 when MAXED out... There VERY close!

we will have numbers up in two weeks. Running a 5857 dbb with allt he supporting mods. Gas first (93) then E85 ftw. The 5857 is not for you High hp guys. but it should give you what you need in the mid RPM range with good to great power. I am expecting somewhere in the 550whp/500tq. That may be wishful thinking to some, but i have every supporting mod possible, with some fabbed pieces as well. Stay tuned. Good things are coming for the folks who were in that 50trim family back when.

I think 550-600 for your set-up is very possible - looking forward to the results...

For sure, I know a 6262 is capable of 700HP - I just meant that its not a bad choice for a easy 600HP also...

i can't choose between the 5857 and the 6262.

I know I'm bringing this back, but did you make a choice? I ran into some money/time issues to getting mine up, running and tune... We are very close. We are going to get it running tomorrow and then hopefully break in...
