The 6057 is discontinued so you guys know.. The option of 5857 is good for the $$$ but the HTA3582 slams that turbo.. Spool is VERY close and HP is a ton more.. its a 59mm billet.. We have made as much as 750 on 3582 which in all honesty is 6262 power with a TON better spool.. Its just a little more $$ is the only drawback..

The are saying because the 5857 showed the same HP gains so the 60 wasnt needed..

Ive got the 5857BB installed last month and it is a good turbo. I am only making 420 whp though at 28psi with my mod list below. It is running a little on the rich side tho. I cant figure out what in my setup may be hurting my power yet.

Nothing i seen in your signature holding you back.. Something is wrong though at that boost.. If the turbo isnt new i would check and make sure its not scrubbing the housing, boost leak test, etc..

It is a brand new turbo. I am gonna check it out when I get home. All in all though the main reason I responded to the OP was to say that the turbo is very strong and I am very pleased with it. I got it because I didn't want to loose a lot of spool but up my power level from the stock turbo safely, which I couldn't do with the Red on the stock block. Oh and the boost starts coming on a little past 4k too

Just went to the dyno with my evo 8 today. Running the 5857 w/built motor on conservative tune. Made 422.8whp @ 5900rpms 28psi on 93 oct. The car misfired twice. Got to go and re gap the plugs and then try again. Should be able to make 450whp easy on a conservative tune. I will post the printout on tomorrow or Monday when i get ahold of a scanner.

on that same dyno(epic motorsports' mustang)... the fp red I tuned made 430 fairly easily at only 26 psi with a very conservative tune and spooled well before 4100.... maybe the 5857 just wont live up to all the hype as apprently the red is doing just as well and outspooling it ? The black made 450 when we stopped after only 4 passes with plenty of room to go as well. I dont believe that dyno is so much the hearbreaker though anymore which could be why the red numbers were so high. I actually just left a dynojet about 30 minutes ago and the baselines from every car were lower than the mustang there. I hope the 5857 can get to someones good use. We will be tuning a 5857 very soon once the owner gets a couple parts together. So hopefully we will have some good data to throw into the discussion.

Editing because the "same dyno" i was referring to is the one for force fed and epic motorsports and they came back and removed their post.

That would be great to finally see more data on this turbo. Looking forward to your post....

Dyno Chart

Sorry this took so long. Here is my 420hp@5900 rpms with the misfires. You can see where they misfired on the graph. I just regaped my plugs to 24 and need to straighten out my fuel and should be 500hp easy.
