well my check engine periodically goes on and off. I pulled the code and it says mutiple misfires?

what could be the cause of this? It runs good but it is annoying seeing that light go on and off!


please help!

what year is the car? when does it missfire? it may be as simple as needed a rom update.

it is a 04. I guess multiple cylinder miss fires!

 

If it's been tuned have your tuner go back and disable that code

 

it was tuned maybe a month ago! He turned it off, but it came back on

 

the mods are 272 cams, arp head studs, sard bov, tomei exhaust manifold, tomei 02 housing, tomei down pipe megan cat back and a turbo timer

 

Check engine lights on and off sometimes means knocks.

 

He must not have disabled the code through periphery bits then. Have him do that.

 

Maybe the tuner left it out as an knock count. lower the boost or increase gas octane...

 

If you have the knock CEL enabled it does, but he is just throwing a misfire code.

 

well the knock count before the tune was 8-9 due to a huge climate change and it never being tuned. After the initial tune it was at 2-3 knocks where he said that was normal!
