it's not going to be long for fpblack owners upgrading to a bigger turbo kit. Deep in their heart, they know they wanted a bigger frame turbo. I am one of them LOL

Haha I know I know. I think I'm just impatient and want more hp as soon as possible, but I know doing that with a 35r would take a lot longer...Is there a 35r kit out there...turbo, manifold, wastegate, etc.. out there for under $4000?

The 3586 on a 2.0 is a laggy turbo and not a "fun" street car. If the op wants a sick street setup and make 10s the Black is great for him. It is cheaper and the Black spools 1000rpms sooner than the 3586.

op, I wouldn't do a 2.1... If you plan to keep it on the streets do a LR2.4. You can rev to 8500 and you will have instant spool with the Black. I love my setup for the street. I hit full boost at 4k with the Black on my LR2.4 and I'm making 675hp and my setup is not even on full tilt yet. For a street setup you can't beat the 2.4+Black!

That thing must be rediculous by the way! A 2.4l with a FP Black, I can't even imagine how that feels haha

Used blacks sell for 1300-1500 btw and yes FP may be coming out with the 86mm compressor stock apearing turbo (3586) soon and it will only be a 500-700 dollars to upgrade your black. May even be less... I don't know at this point what Robert has in mind.

I heard about that too which made me want to stay with the black. It's only like a 2mm difference anyway...

86-82=4mm difference! Should be good for another 40hp and spool shouldn't change more than 200rpms
