If you really think about it its more important that the BOV is a high quality BOV instead of the way it sounds. I would rather my BOV sound like S*** then my turbo go out becouse i have a good sounding BOV. Food for thought!
i know exactly what the ssqv sounds like, and i know exactly what it does. IMO i can not stand the sound of it. if i would get a recirc i would get the forge or mr . i wouldn't get a vent bov either. personally, i wouldn't even waste money on a bov if the stock plastic one didn't break or loose leak under high boost

yeah, the stocker leaks even at stock boost levels.. mine had a nice crack in it when I took it out too.. And for everyone running stock MAF sensors.. ALWAYS RECIRCULATE.. if you have speed density or a blowthrough setup, it doesn't matter anything will work as long as its adjustable for your needs..

The man speaks the truth.

My stocker developed an increasingly bad leak and now won't hold over 20 PSI at redline. You can actually see where it starts to leak on my dyno graph.

What does the Turbo XS Racing Bypass valve H34 sound like? How does it perform? I was gonna get the HKS SSQV but after reading up on some of their flaws I am concidering the H34 now.

Yeah I think mine (stock) is leaking. Had the Forge, but I could not ever seem to find the right adjustment to prevent fluttering and it was a pain to adjust. I also noticed alot of wear with alot of grey dust in the synch lube. Gave it away.

Thinking of the GFB Stealth FX BOV or the MR version, thoughts guys? HKS seems like alot of extras you have to use for just a BOV/DV?

Thumbs down

Tial has a couple problems, 1 you have to know the valve spring psi for your setup. I had a problems with the tial BOV opening at idle, this confused the stock computer (unmetered air flow after MAF sensor) causing rough idle and stalling during coasting to a stop. 2 with this design if the valve leaks, their is no spring tension adjustment. 3 cost of higher psi spring if you did not get it right the first time and PRICE of Tial BOV is about the same if not more than the HKS SSQ . IF your SSQ is working why change it.

The EVO MR bov works great for me. Definitely a big improvement over the stock plastic unit. Greddy unit works good with that single spring mod.. while most people w/ HKS SSQV are having problems, I just can't comment on it because I've never tried it on my EVO.

Got the GFB, like so many others in NorCal. Holds boost great, vents and recircs. Love it.
