i went from a stock 8 turbo to the black.....when you get yours, looking at the two side by side you'll laugh at how much bigger they made that thing. pretty impressive what fp has done. As far as spool, everyone talks about the extra lag, its not that bad, look at it this way,....your going to replace that turbo with something obviously bigger to some degree, so your going to have lag either way you toss it!

you'll love any fp turbo!

Sorry to bring up the old thread.

So 200rpm difference in spool up on 2.0 or 2.3,2.4?

will PTE1200 with buchur DP work with black on E85?

One more thing, Can i run my red tune with the black for a while?
thanks

I dont understand why, some of you guys are saying "converting" wouldnt you buy the turbo. Put it on, make sure you have the fp feed line and good to go. Doesnt it still have the same footprint as a evo8/evo9?

The black is meant for those with a built motor or e85 with supporting mode and lag is more like 600+ rpms later on a stock motor over a stock VIII or IX turbo. There are people switching to reds because its not a good daily driver unless your built..

I switched from Red to Black and didn't notice the extra lag. The Red has a ton more lag than stock though.

I'd go with a FP Black everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. The FP Black is one bad bish.
