i think after this thread plus very useful pms from cj i will definitely have to go witht he hta green.. no reason not to. i was a little scared of the failure rate from fp but i dunno i think it should be fine...

although, when i read that your bbk was used are you sure the guy who sold it knew it had some problems before he shipped it off? could reasonably affect some performance, though it's been documented that the hta green produces better/more anyway. impressed that it spools the same and has the same transient as the bbk full while pushing more air

I have the same question.. I originally thought the green would be too big for autox but it seems spool isn't much different than the stock 9 turbo.

The HTA Green would be amazing for an autox or road course. Depending on class rules, I can't imagine a better choice. That said, on a 100% race car, you'd want to check the rules and see what you're allowed to do.

I imagine most autox courses are 2nd and 3rd gear and you should be between 4K and 8K all the time - the HTA rocks in that range . If it is a stupid tight course where you want to downshift to 1st, I'd probably just stay in 2nd, enter the turn a tad slower and start powering early.

Yesterday I went out with a friend with a 911 GT2 (stock) and we had some fun. Long story short, he could not believe that the little 4 door Evo was always in front of him .

I have also been hesitant on the green due to fp failures, what changed your mind about this? I was dead set on a full but am open to facts, if you would elaborate please...

I am really curious to see what the HTA Green can do on 93 only. I am not interested in running a meth setup. I was set on the RED but the earlier spool and good top has me interested in a switch to the HTA considering 99% of the time its a daily driver around town. My stocker 8 turbo is really holding me back.

Ok respond to an earlier question regarding psi at 7,500 rpms.

On my car I am boosting 31 psi and nearing redline 7k holding 28 psi in the red zone 7k-7.5k rpms. Right on 7.5k rpms and above it drops to 27 psi.

Also reminder this is on my stock BOV. I am not on ecu controlled boost, just FP 25 lbs wga and hallman mbc.

yea i think we feel very similarly - i was DEAD set on a bbkfull, even knowing that i would be giving up a *little* top end to the HTA green. now after reviewing more reviews, i think it is more than just a *little* on the top end that i would be giving up - though i haven't been able to read how the transient compares between the two, except that both are "very good"

the reason i am switching to hta green is i plan on having everything set up by a really legit shop just so i know everything will go perfectly in terms of the install, and then just rely on the 1 year warranty. i figure if it lasts a year through the paces i will put it through, it should last a fair amount of time. it's also been a while since i've heard of some failures so im wondering if something has changed in their process. i still feel like the bbkfull has a higher reliability, but i almost feel like the gap is closing a bit. i'll continue to watch and listen for reports of failure etc. i mean it really should be less than 1% if it is a legit company. We'll see, I haven't fully fully decided yet.

very very nice - im pretty sold. though im not running any sort of meth/water injection i do have cams and 93 octane so i'm interested to see how much i lose overall in comparison. as long as this turbo holds in terms of reliability (which i will watch like a hawk ), this has got to be the overall best on the market (for this category)

FP has the BEST warranty in the business. 100% covered regardless of reason of failure for at least 1 year - original owner or not.

What were the setting for the VD? Now only if it was a BB turbo it would probably be the best option for most evo owners.

ps - did you get the 18psi actuator or the 25psi actuator? or is that unnecessary?

Stock WGA....

Dynojet (look at the graph)...

Also, my rims are big and I am sure if I had the stock MR rims still I could add another 10 - 15 whp.
