MAF Cleaning...CRC MAF Cleaner

So i did some searches on using this product here and most are old but most have said they used with success at the time.

I noticed on the back of the can that the directions state not to use the product with mitsubishi's (see below). However they do not speficy which mitsubishi models so my question is does the evo (i have an 05) have a Karman-Vortex airflow sensor?

"10. DO NOT use on vehicles
with a Karman-Vortex air flow sensor, e.g. Toyota
Supra Turbos, Mitsubishi’s and most Lexus
vehicles."

well if ur gonna risk it....go ahead...personally you shuold be alright with the mass air flow sensor, main thing you gotta be careful about sprayin is this little red metal part in the flow sensor thats your heater to help the maf determine a/f ratio for the ecu...if you spray it get yourself and air compressor and air nozzle and spray out inside of the maf immediately after you spray it...good luck and remember its a couple hundred dollar part haha

using an electrical cleaner with no issue

don't use the nozzle on the parts in the middle, use the open spray pattern when clenaing those pieces

also clean when maf is cold

I used it a few times with no issues. I didnt use the straw because I didnt want to concentrate the pressure on any small piece that might break. A good idea as said above to clean it when its cold. The spray comes out pretty cool and if the maf is warm the temp difference might cause something to crack.
