Al's Dyno stuff
Al @ Dynoflash said
Actually, my estimate was 310 x .95 which equals 294.5. So I'm about 4whp off. But who's counting?
This, Al, is about 10-25hp less than our cat-equipped, emissions-friendly Stage 1 cars so you might want to reconsider your comments regarding horspower supremecy.
I would have posted on the other thread but it was closed. Back to talking about tech related issues: should we now make it a habit of posting SAE corrected numbers when bragging or comparing dyno results to that of other tuners? While still not ideal, this will help the readers from accidentally comparing apples to things which are most definately oranges.
My 2c,

I almost forgot to post up the SAE corrected dyno sheet - - Shiv was right our power fell down to 250 !

Shiv you are the best, maybe now we can finally find the way to use numbers in the right way so that people can get a better idea. i think that from now on you all should post the SAE numbers and that way there won't be a confusion when 1 tuner post 700whp and the other 279whp from the same mods.
thanks for everything
thanks for everything
Would it not also help to post the baseline along with the final runs, and be able to see the relative gains.
It seems that given the differences from dyno to dyno, this would be a way to better guage the results.

Well, I was worried, I honestly didn't know what we were using for correction on the dyno. I had to go back, pull the charts up and look.
Glad to see they were all SAE corrected. You can see this for yourself on our website, it is in the upper left side of the sheets.

And you are not using an aftermarket piggy back.

No doubt Vishnu stuff is good, just a little pricey IMO.

If you look at it from a $/HP standpoint, it is SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive. I looked at both options, it made more sense to me to use the option Dynoflash posted in the other thread.

If you have the setup you want, then a flash is the way to go. If you plan on using an evolving series of upgrades, then reflashing is going to get expensive and time consuming (assuming you aren't lucky enough to have a tuner shop close enough where you can stop buy for a quick reflash)
to me piggy-back/stand-alone makes a lot more sence as I know I will be starting my upgrade path this spring, but adding to it as I get bored with the increased HP. Not having to worry about reflashing/replaing the ECU is a big thing for me.
