On a different front

Did you all know that Automibile pikced the evo the 2004 CAR OF THE YEAR ??? Thanks !

But they made this stupid assertion:

"Yet the Evo is not without fault. Becuase of the tight packaging of the turbo's intercooler (it is wedged behind the front bumper), there is little room for a bigger one and therefore little tuning headroom on the cars, meaning you won't see any 500-horsepower Evos marauding your city's streets at night."

Man - whats up with that BS ?

I guess they didnt see the Pruven or Buschur fmic's yet?

I guess they didnt know I made 518 whp on the stock turbo and 575 whp on my new set up ?

It is a shame this whole site is contaminated with negative crap...

Moderators- what is that! especially in regards to "paying" sponsors of the site.

That's why ________(fill in the blank) use their silver, gold platinum vendor labels as a bully pulpit to spew negative comments at anyone who questions anything.

BTW, what exactly do you get for "vendor" status besides the the right to get away with being a jerk on this forum?

Pretty soon this place is going to be worthless to everyone the way things are going.

If I was a vendor I would never go down to someone elses' level...

IMO

It just hit me that all these vendor-on-vendor slamfests are basically a game of tuner rochambeau, but instead of rock, paper, scissors, you have air/fuel ratios, timing, and octane.

I think we need a tune off of some sort. Al vs shiv on a stock car on the same dyno. Al's through the mail reflash and have a shiv through the mail reflash and see what does better.

I will tell you this, there are MANY of the mods with free dynoflashes and some even have BIG setups from the vendors for free, kinda skews everything and before I got kicked with my last ID I was raising hell about it. TOTAL bs so if you are a vendor and don't give them free **** good luck...

I think it's time to close this thread.

If vendors want to argue over thier methods and products that is fine. It is to everyone's benefit when they do because they are challenging each other.
For the most part the vendors know how to do this within the rules. The problem is when users jump in and ignore these rules and the thread goes either off-topic or becomes a flame war.

If people would sit back and let the vendors have their arguement sometime, you might get some really good posts and information out of it. Otherwise they often get ruined by trolls.
