The weight does not take away the Chatter. Does help a ton. It will allow you to get the clutch full engauged under 1500rpm with out dieing, but if you are on small hill and need to rev and slip much above 1500rpm it will chatter.

The Carbon is smoother to start but once hot it can be quite Chattery. From what I have seen the Carbon life is the worst also.

I purchased my Competition twin in late April or May 2010, can't remember off hand. I assume I have the old version because my car will stall quite easily at lower rpms. How much does the flywheel weigh in version 1?

I think I am the only one with the version 2 and I am not sure if they are even ready to sell it. The V1 combo was 24lbs and this one is 30lbs.

I was just wondering how much the flywheel alone weighs. Also, what would I need to do to upgrade to the new version? Would have to buy a whole new clutch setup?

Im running the competition twin disk right run and its slipping. It lasted about 6k miles of daily driving including state to state and tones of abuse. 6k might not seem like alot but what I put that clutch through it should have been slipping way before 6k. It still has a little left in her though, and im gonna buy another one.

No. V2 is more about flywheel weight which would be 30 total (clutch and flywheel) instead of 24.

Is the tq rating for the comp twin higher or lower then the QM twin (old or new race version)?

Dont remember the QM offhand but I know we put 650+ ft lbs to it without issue, the Comp Twin is rated at 700. For comparison the next step up to the triple is rated at 800.

Aaron,

I didn't get an chance to s/w Don @ CC. He's supposed to be the EVO guy in voled in the development.

From what I was told by another rep when I placed my order was

Versions:
A = 650 tq,
B = 700 tq
C = 800 tq.

CC was closed today due to snow..

Mark.
