Anyone have an ETA on this new CC twin? I wonder how well it handles the drag strip and daily driving.

1250 retail and you can order it thru us or order it direct. I talked to Juvy this afternoon and she says it feels like a clutch. Its not quite as easy to drive as a triple but if she can drive it you guys can. If you cant, hand in your man card at the door.

Just yanked out a Tilton Twin Disk and replaced it with an Exedy Triple disk. WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN DRIVABILITY!!!!

I cannot possibly tell you how much I HATED the Tilton clutch. Yes, it held up to over 700awhp, but it sucked hairy donkey ***** to street drive.

This Exedy is like a dream compared to it. Now, we'll see if it can hold power like the Tilton

TILTON TWIN FOR SALE....CHEAP.

That twin is worse than the Exedy triple? How, like more of an on/off switch?

How would you compare this newer Comp with the Exedy twin either the HD or the other version? (not sure of the difference)

and what would you recommend for a daily driver with 500-600hp and yes driven in traffic..? I was looking at the new comp twin or Exedy twin or triple but most likely twin if I went exedy

Thanks

The Triple to me is almost like stock. The Comp Twin requires a little more finesse but is definitely nothing like a Tilton or QM, I am not lying guys she is not a big girl. Juvy is about my size and has 2 kids in the car and can drive the Comp just as easily as any other clutch that has been in the car. If you make 600whp and are going to daily its this and shifting easily at high rpm or the Triple and the same result with more cost.

The Tilton was exactly like a switch - on or off. Period. No middle ground. Even if you tried to "ease" it in, it would suddenly grab like a **** and kill the car. You had no choice but to really rev it up so as not to kill the car during initial engagement. It SUCKED.

However, for someone who was a serious drag racer, or even a road racer and wanted a clutch that would literally take ANYTHING you can throw at it, and then some, this would be an ideal clutch. Its tough as nails, simple in design, rebuildable and race-proven.

The Exedy triple drives like a stock clutch, IMO.

You think the clutch will hold up well to repeated drag racing then?

The Tilton? Absolutely. That's what this clutch is made to do. All day. Most anyone who knows about these clutches will tell you they are great in a race setting. This thing will shrug off an 8k clutch drop like its nothing. That's where it shines. It is a virtually indestructible racing clutch.

So it seems like the deaccel growl/grind is normal with twin clutches? I believe my car came with an exedy twin however I'm not sure neither was the previous owner because he was the second owner and did not remember is there any way to check without dropping the tranny? However the charecteristics sound like the exedy twin hd and that's what he said was in his "race" Evo.....thoughts?

Does Juvy drive the car every day? One of these days the Comp single isn't gonna be enough and Ill need more, it'd be nice to come up and get a tune and see if I can get a feel for that clutch.

No the comp twin. This thread is about the comp twin not the tilton.
