C = 800 tq.

CC was closed today due to snow..

Dan maybe? Interesting...it was probably in the catalog in more detail and when he was here in person hand delivering our clutch for Luke. Sounds like they have it all under control though I know there are no options in the price sheet on the rebuild its all a flat rate (as I listed above).

Dan is a Starion/Conquest/DSM guy who happens to be looking for an Evo. I havent talked to him in a bit though, so not sure he may have found what he was looking for.

Since I only show one pressure plate in the rebuild stuff, I am wondering how you get the A,B,C plate specific? I'll call and have the data tomorrow.

Aaron,

I s/w Con (as in Conner ??) when I ordered my clutch. He stated he was fairly new to the company. I asked him what kind of torque it would hold assuming there was only one type. He told me there was three as noted above.
Maybe we can get CC to chime in and clarify once and for all. Not sure if they are a sponsor.

Anyways, the unit looks nice, my mechanic said s/b pretty straight forward install with the conversion and pedal stop based upon instructions that came with it.

Any install tips I can give him a heads up on that are NOT stated....

So I am looking into twin disc clutches. My power range will be 450-500 on E85. This car is my DD and i do have hills at times. As i do DD this car i need a clutch that is decent for it, but also can take a good beating on the weekends at the track. I think its between Exedy Hd, QM, and Comp...what ya guys think?

i totally agreed with the post. I have ran many different clutches setup on my race car. Competition twin plate push style was my last one. Awesome clutches.

Nice write up guys. I relise you guys are talking about drag application here but could someone point me in the right direction for a good clutch/fly combo for autox? Or someone in the area of racing that would be good to talk to. Thanks

I'll let him answer with his input, but his wife (remember 100 lbs maybe) daily drives it with 2 kids n the car. So a) she is either mega bad a$$, b) got skills, c) its not too bad, d) all of the above.

So it seems that this clutch is the next best thing to an exedy twin-disk for DD applications. Suitable for anyone needing a little more than the exedy twin can give while sacrificing a little on the longevity scale. A fair trade-off. Increasing the weight on the flywheel seems like the smart thing to do to counteract stalls and help clutch engagement. From reading through these 6 pages, this is what i could decipher. My question then is this: How reliable is the reverse slave mechanism? I'll probably give this clutch a try.

I have this clutch with the push type conversion that flips the slave around and I have had any problems. I have close to 15k miles on mine and I have yet to be disappointed with the way it performs. I don't have the new version with the heavier flywheel but I don't find it all that bad for a DD car. I do stall from time to time but it's a badass clutch.

Do you stall from starting off or because the engine cuts off when you press the clutch in?

Update on my 24lb.

From 100 to 1000 miles I was having 2nd thoughts regarding decision to go with Twin Disc Non sprung clutch. Shuddering slipping 1st. decel growl, etc.

However now I've got around 1400 miles on it and could not be happier. Shudder from 1st is much easier to control now keeping rpm's under 2k.

Sure it makes all kinds of noises, chirps downshift, decel growl, etc.
All these can be rectified by the radio volume knob.

All in all the clutch is great. Replacement discs are $130 each.
Hoping to get 20k out of her.
