So what's a good 49-54ish lb EFR turbo?

The 7064 sits right in that range and would probably be my EFR turbo of choice.

Yeah Geoff I'm running a tspd sensor, but I haven't made the signal divider yet, so the ecu can't process the signal.

Dyno is Thursday at English. Unfortunately I didn't get my bbs wheels back from the powdercoater in time for the dyno... So I'll be denoting on the ccws and 295s

Without reading through 19XX posts, can anyone tell me when these will be back in stock in T3 internally wastegated versions? 7670 is specifically.. TIA

And where can I find info for the compatible manifold?

IMO there is absolutely no reason to go single scroll with these. Especially something the size of a 7670. . .

It just the best thing on the market atm. Spool is stupid fast and they breath very well. My buddy in the honda world is making 500~ with an efr and has almost 0 lag in any gear. Buy this and you never look back

Guess I'd be scared to read through 132 pages of posts if I came in at this stage too :P

Check this out Borg Warner EFR Turbos , should answer your questions (atleast if you know the basics).

Geoff, approximately how many hours/miles do your customers have on the 7064 & 7670 respectively? If there's multiple, lets say since the first of each - I'm just trying to get a sense of the reliability here.

There's a big reason. Cost. IMO that money could be used better elsewhere.

The EFR will not put everyone out of business...it's a unique turbo with great aerodynamics and intelligent materials selected for each component - but its not for everyone. I expect there will always be a demand for t3 external wastegate turbos with smaller dimensions and without the EFR features, different strokes for different folks

If you are looking for a T3 EFR 7670 i suggest to contact our office and put your name on the reserve list (no cost). Most of our customers are waiting on the twinscroll T4 turbos, so the T3 EFR reservation lists are not nearly as long.

btw: If you want to use this internal-WG turbo in a CT9A evo with airconditioning, it will probably have to be a top mount manifold like mine (requires evo6 style radiator)

are you referring to Ted's civic Si? i spoke to him recently, he was on cloud9... he was especially impressed by the IAT logs if i recall correctly

I personally have ~4500 miles on my 8374. I dont keep tabs on my customers' usage but I am not aware of any reliability issues with the production EFR turbos. There was an early batch of B1 efr6258s that had faulty turbine wheels but those have been sorted, none of that carried over into the B2s that weve handled/distributed

455whp on 92 octane. 19psi
Turning up the boost made 525whp when I broke my driveshaft (due to my Moustache bar breaking in three)
Were going to hit up the dyno tomorrow.

Big props to the ER crew especially Jake for getting the driveshaft and Moustache bar swapped out in no time. We'll have some ER footage of the dyno session tomorrow.
