CAUTION: THIS HOLE IS TOO SMALL FOR OIL FEED!!

the fitting that comes with the turbo is a -4AN PLEASE USE THIS SIZE FEED ORIFICE -4AN = 0.160" = 4mm

try and measure all points and enlarge anything that can restrict oilflow during startup. It is critically important that there is plenty of oil immediately upon startup

+1 I can imagine the Borg Warner EFR team will be very keen to get that unit back for a strip and inspection.

I'm sure Raj and yourself will have a replacement unit back in no time.

I guess we'll have to wait a little longer for the results though

be sure to pull your plugs and crank your engine to build oil pressure prior to starting the engine with the new turbo... that way you've got oil in the lines prior to startup.

Nice tip but I think you're trying to teach your grandma to suck eggs if that tip is for Mark

You could pull that tube closer to the other wastegate... totally possible.

To the other poster...I know that Mark Shead knows better, but I assume that there is a LARGE number of Evom member's who don't know to do it...or are too lazy to do so.

I think you can also unplug the crank sensor wich is close to the oil fill cap to crank without starting so that you dont have to pull the plugs.

less work i think
