you might need that o ring and im pretty sure mitsu wont sell the o ring alone. best bet is to go to an auto parts store and take the iac with you. they usually have boxes of o rings in the back to pick and choose from.
or find the one you dropped.
the head of the bolt was stripped i need 2 screws :X its only held in by one screw now
also has neone had any experience with the IAC off amazon ?? its 150 for it brand new but dont know if thats something u buy oem or aftermarket

You don't want to run the IAC without the o-ring, that spot will leak air and your idle will fluctuate just like anything else without an o-ring would leak chemicals. You need to figure out a way to get the IAC screws back in, retap the holes, whatever. I don't think with the normal vibrations one will hold very long. You can just pull your throttle body and use bolts with nuts. If I recall correctly at least 2 of the holes are open on the back side.
And if you're looking on Amazon for another IAC just buy this - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04...Q5fAccessories
Then you have your own spare IAC and can do whatever you want with your old throttle body

If your gonna replace your throttle body at least I might buy your old one from you.
You can drive temporary without the iac valve hooked so long as you plug it somehow.
Your dealer will have the screws, o-ring, IIAC motor, TB, etc. as well as the place mentioned above

I dont know if its the same on the IX but on my VIII it was held in by three phillips screws are easily rounded if you're not really careful taking them out. I replaced them with 3 hex head bolts and washers and got from home depot. As for the Actual IAC, I got the one from amazon and it did come with a new washer. I actually drove around with a bad iac washer and my car would idle fine when I started the car but after I drove it it idled around 2500 RPM and stayed there.
You need the IAC O ring and I dont think their sold seperatly from the IAC Motor, I have a spare IAC that is fine its used with 3 all items needed I replaced the IAC when I got the PO505 code and all I needed was a Idle adjustment vis ecu flash and clean my throttle body lol. If interested shoot me a PM I will let this go for cheap its complete gasket/oring and 3 bolts mine were changed with 8mm bolts heads which makes it easier. But the O-ring is a specific part and cant run without it not correctly and getting a SES Light will come as well..
