what cams fp black 2.4

I'm doing a 9:7:1 2.4 and I'm wondering what cams I should use. I was thinking Gsc s3 or possibly s2.

Gsc 2 cams! Going to s3's would be pointless due to only being able to spin the 2.4 at 8,500rpms max..

I think you could spin the LR2.4 higher then 8,500rpm, youmust be talking about the 2.3

It will take some doing to make it idle correctly on an VIII but I would go with the S3 if you have any headwork done. The S2 will make good power on a stock head, like this-

The trick to getting large cams to idle is playing with the intake cam timing, btw.

What's the cost difference between the cams listed? I am going to do stainless standard sized valves and not sure which springs because different cams require different springs. With a s3 I will have to go with a dual valvespring for sure right? What is the most cost effective springs?

not exactly. you can use good single beehives like kiggly or gsc's.

S3's. You're moving a ton more air than you would be with a two liter. I think the S3's will be just fine. MRTALON20 made almost 100whp with s3's over his Kelford 272's on his 2.4 6262 set up.

I would go S3s. You have a 2.4 so spool will be fine. You want the extra flow capacity in the higher rpms
