GT4094R hta conversion

Hi, having a gt4094R, ts 1.06 ar turbo laying in my garage i requested to FP if it is possible to convert it to HTa and they told me it's doable, so i would be tempted, the final result shoul be interesting, comparable in my opinion to a 3794 hta twin scroll, but maybe with some more top end capabilities, so anybody has some experience on this? Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Brian over there can convert almost anything, he's an awesome guy to deal with and knows his stuff

If it's just an HTA conversion those generally run $600 but that includes wheels, balancing, and cover so hopefully not much more if more at all...

what did you put down on the hta3794? i think a hta3794 vs hta4094 thread on those two would be legit

They quoted me $800, price would not be bad, if advantages are the same of a 35r conversion, it would have been a good thing to have some feedback but i have the impression to be the first to try this thing..... Considering that this unit will go on a 2.4 long rod, and it's twin scroll, if it can achieve the same power level of a 3794 r with some advantage in terms of spool it would be a good trade..... I'm tempted.....

Did they tell you the ind and exd of what the compressor wheel will be? I'm very interested to see what happens. I'm running a 4094R too.

I talked to them about it a long time ago. They never seemed interested in it. Be cool if they did now for owners that have chunked some wheels. But to buy a 4094 then hta it would be a waste. Just slap a 6765 on it and call it a day.

This would be true based on the assumption the original poster did not have a 4094. But he said he has a 4094 in his garage.

Yes, i just have a 4094r laying in my garage, i bought it years ago and tested it but did not impress me, i did not find it much different from a 4088 in terms of pure numbers, but it's laggier, not worth imo, actually i'm using a BW s400SX71, and it's not much retarded respect to it. I'm searching something more streetable for my 2.4 long rod, i have tomei 280 solid cams, Kansai Intake, Buschur race head, ID2000 injectors, Sparktech cdi, Full Race ts manifold (big runners, i have no ac on my TME ), water to air intercooler system, and all supporting mods, and i would have focused about a 67 mm turbo for having decent spool characteristics, on the 4094r i suspect that hta conversion is based on the cold part of the 3794r, my main problem is that, being in Italy, cost for this operation, including shipping and customs, will be about 1400 usd, and at this point, i can't decide, i have to convert it or purchase a new efr 9180 or 3794r, as now it's available in twin scroll version?
Any opinion would be much appreciated....
