Hey Guys,

Currently im in Singapore looking to purchase a used FP Green (Non HTA) over here at a good price.

The only thing that doesnt match is the number of blades on the exhaust wheel. From what I read, Greens have 11 blades, where as this 'Green' has 12 blades

The compressor wheel is 69mm, and 5 blade which matches the FP Spec. The rear exhaust housing is a 10.5 unit.

Any ideas if the original Greens ran a 12 blade exhaust wheel? If not, any ideas what turbo? Theres nothing to indicate on the unit if it was modded by FP, i.e. no plaque, no engraving etc.

Thanks

I would say if there is no markings or stamps with the FP logo anywhere on the turbo....it's most likely not a fp green...even if it's an older green....GL

Thanks for that... Any idea what feel differences a 12 blade wheel would do compared to the 11 blade found in the FP?

From what I read, alot of the initial 1st Gen Greens did not come with any logos or plaques

I thought the Trust spec TD06SL2 turbine was 11 bladed too , may have one of the other TD06 turbine variants in it .

I spoke to the mechanic who's selling the turbo.

He said the 12 blade will help faster spool, but the blades have also been 'cut back' to help product top end?

Sounds like its a modded Green.

Ah another Aussie , if it started life as an original classic Green you should be able to bring it home to Sinn City and have it rebuilt with a TD06SL2 turbine and obviously another turbine housing . If you have an original undamaged compressor wheel the rest can be sourced easily enough .
