i've seen that happening when clutch disc explodes i put my money on that act by any chance

I havent checkef yet what went wrong, and it an Exedy Twin disk clutch by the way. Ill start working on it soon

u wanna pull the clutch out then check discs ,floater and pressure plate with a straight edge to see how much it worped those clutches have very small disengeagement something like 0.040 and exedy likes to worp pass that

This exact same thing happened to me, same clutch and same scenario. My clutch disk popped out one of the springs.

Having problems with my evo8 won't let me go into gears I have a Jacks stage 2 tranny and a triple dis Change out cylinder and clutch master cylinder cylinder still won't let me go in gear when car is on ya think I need a new tob

Bumping this up from the dead.

Can you reinsert the spring? Or does this mean the clutch is toast?

I can't see into the future to tell you what will happen. I had to pull my transmission and noticed that the springs in my almost new clutch disc were loose enough to rattle. That disc went into the trash.
