JR I do appreciate what youre doing and sticking by your word...dont get me wrong..better late than never...and IM sure this will ring loud and clear for those who want an aem after you get this resolved
AEM seems like a good product, but after all is said and done, it still seems to be that the company should have done more preliminary testing before releasing the Evo version.

We got your message loud and clear. Just hang tough and all will be well in the end. I promise you that and have already told the same to Frank @ SFP.

What system has fuel and ignition-in-one???
Electromotive TEC-3 is the answer. It's not a plug-n-play but definitely the one to consider. http://www.electromotive-inc.com
Some of you don't like it but some do. You'll be the judge.

Customer: What do you want it for?
AEM: We want to run really high boost
Customer: Is there a problem?
AEM: Not that we know of, we just want to be sure
Customer: How mush is really big boost?
AEM: Oh, about 25-28 lbs
Customer: Will this void my warranty
AEM: Most likely yes
Customer: Will my clutch get burned up?
AEM: Most likely yes
Customer: Well, gee, no thank you.
Thanks,
JR

I am glad you have replied to this post informing us that any ignition problem with the EVO box will be fixed. I am definately waiting cuz i have the 5th box made (SN: 30-1313-0005).
Have you guys tested your C2DI along with the EVO EMS box? Did you do test it with the stock ignition or a coil on plug setup?
I have the C2DI box on its way and plan on installing it w/o changing to a coil on plug setup, and would like to know ahead of time if you guys at AEM tried this and ran into any problems?
JR,
I have run an aem on my car since the first week of november through brainstorm and gotten 3 hard track days + daily driving at 18 pounds boost and really tightly gapped plugs in the low 400 range. Felt I was just starting to make progress and now I am concerned again as I was when I raised this a month ago and posted my spark scatter issues and dyno chart that looked so bad with really uneven power up top.
I look forward to seeing a resolution to this issue. The key is what the company does at this point. Mistakes suck, but the manner in which they are taken care of is much more important.
Note to pass on to everyone at AEM: Just fix it! Do so in a timely matter and keep things productive on the information flow... share early and often.
I have read "claims" that aem has "great" support. Here is an opportunity to prove it one way or another.
Kudos to you JR for at least stepping up here and addressing everyone- it's not a solution but its at least a start.
A final question: Is upgrading the ignition one way to fix this? It would be nice to run power with the stock but I have msd blaster sscoils with an aem c2di to put on.
I am wary at this point to proceed...

We put many, many hours on the evos, including a magazine dyno shoot with over 350hp and had no ignition problems. The main reason was that there were no big turbo kits/cars available at that time. We were running 18-20 psi on the stock turbo and having cars running mid 12's. We had no indication that we were close to the limit on the ignition. Also, just think how difficult it would be to "sell" someone on loaning us thier new evo:

Changing to a CDI and new coils makes this problem go away.
JR

This is not an AEM EMS or CDI problem, you cannot run any aftermarket CDI with the stock EVO Coils. You will have to replace them.

so whats the solution do the people who already own the ems get an exchange for the new version or are we just screwed? JR what is the most straight forward solution....without spending more on stuff the ems should already do.
