evoscan is a program that you install in your laptop to log your cars performance eg timing, intake temps, coolant temps etc. You need a special usb cable that connects your laptop to your cars OBDII port.

Well after all that, got it all back together and the new thermostat in. Took it out friday night and checked it saturday morning it still pushed it all in the overflow... Soo looking like head gasket.... I was just trying to do the cheap easy stuff first haha.. Getting some quotes on it today, doing a leak down and compression test first tho.

well your next step man since you believe it to be head gasket go get the coolant tester, ull take a sample reading of the coolant in the radiator out, add one chemical to it that checks for signs of oil in it as one cheap alternative of a blown headgasket, Check the color of your oil does it look chocolate milkshake colored? If so man, then sorry to say thats what it sounds like, just dont drive it much, before ur wallet hurts even more from more damage. Good luck

leaking head gasket doesn't allways show up in a comp or leakdown test. Get the stuff that tests for combustion gas in the coolant.

Okay, I'm interested, tell me how a broken piston ring blows coolant out of the radiator?

Well, go back and ask him/her the sequence of events that makes this happen. They won't be able to do it.
