Wow this thread is still going?
A lot has happened since I started this thread on my end.
So here are updates on my end:
I decided to build my stock block so I sent my block off to MA performance for a short block build. Specs on the new block:
9:1 Manley Pistons
Manley 156mm H-beam Long-Rods
ARP Main, connecting, head bolts
Balance shaft delete on block
I ordered a MA EF3 turbo aswell.
My head goes to the machine shop this week, Port polish and GSC S2 cams and beehives.
I also got a Full Race Pro- Stock manifold and a ETS 3.5 Intercooler.
I think my power goals are well within reach now. Thoughts?

I swapped out my 6 speed earlier this year. I took the 6 speed out in working order and sold it. I ran a cooler on the tranny which I know for a fact improved the life of the thing (added almost 1 more quart of fluid.) I am currently running a pump/cooler set up on a stock 5 speed.
my car basically meets the goals you set
2.3L/ full-race manifold with a BW s200sx. im sure with one of the newer gen turbos (EFR, GTX) it would make more and spool faster
makes around 450WHP on a dyno dynamics at ~23 psi on 93 octane. hits full boost ~3900.
as for tubular manifolds and roadracing; if you buy a quality manifold, you dont have to worry

I bought a Full Race manifold. That thing is stout I am not afraid of it cracking, it does put off a lot of excess heat though (need to get it jet-coated etc.)
Yeah I am curious to see how the turbo works out for me.
