Reusing Exedy Twin

I just recently picked up an Exedy twin with fairly good meat left on the plates and I'm thinking of just running them until they won't hold anymore. Reason being is that I'll be going big turbo in the near future, but not now, and I'll just convert to a triple so it's a brand new clutch with a brand new turbo.

Anyways...if I just reused the clutch as is, without replacing any plates or anything, would I need to resurface the flywheel or do anything or just throw it in there? I know you need to resurface for new friction discs but wasn't sure if you did or not with the same plates.

Thanks!

the answer really depends on the condition of the flywheel.

i would disagree.

i would say it depends on how much the top pressure plate has warped, and if it has then what is the top friction plate wear like.

Yep, what he said. If any plate (pressure, disc, intermediate, flywheel) is worn, it will slip...I'm learning that the hard way *sigh*

I would just replace disk as well. Have flywheel inspected. You don't want to do that install twice. You will kick your self in the butt for not replacing. If clutch in car isn't going bad, save up for replacements and have a fresh new clutch in car when your ready.
