AMS Oil Pan on a 2.4L Long Rod

So, different rods, 156mm, plus the bigger crank in a LR 2.4 build. Has anyone found out of the AMS/Moroso oil pan will work fine with that motor? If there is some modification, is it significant?

-cheers

FML, i was at Spec Ops a few hours ago but wasn't thinking about this.

I'll ask them next time if they had to modify it. Either way, it obviously works.

Probably good for drag racing, but not for a hardcore track/circuit car.
There is no resevoir on the Camgear side of the engine. So when you are going around fast RH corners, you run out of oil because there isn't enough volume.

I had one on my 2.1 alum rod motor. it fits but there is a bolt hole on the AMS windage tray that will not be used because of a hole missing in the girdle of the 2.4. I also couldnt use teh scraper due to the size of the GRP rods but this shouldnt be a problem with a off the shelf steel rod. The only reason I didnt keep it is bc I have a topmounted T4 turbo with a 4" dp and it wouldnt clear the front kickout. Def a nice piece but I wouldnt say you would benefit a ton from it on just a street car. The pickup that comes with it is a very nice upgrade but wont fit with the stock pan.

+1 on BR baffled oil pan. Also have the cosworth crank scraper (more to help with revving but keeping oil off the crank still should help with oil in the pan). Scraper need to be modified to work.
