I bought a used 5 bolt turbo outlet on here a few weeks back; I was told it was off an old Buschur setup. However, because it was a tight and short 90 elbow to the downpipe the bottom bolt was welded shut (the circled bolt hole in the picture). I was trying to find out any insight from people who have/had similar setups as far as what is the best gasket to run and technique to tightening to avoid leaks. I tried emailing Buschur racing but I never recieved anything back (Didn't surprise me because I didn't buy it from them new)
Hopefully your flange has a wastegate hole? Unless this is a stock turbo. I have a 5 bolt Ford style flange, but on a 35R. It has a hole for the wastegate off to the left in your picture. No gasket here, just tighten the bolts good. Ff anything you could try some high temp copper stuff, but it will probably just burn off.

i know of a lot of people who dont use gaskets there. a friend of mine is running a turbonetics 60-1 with a 5 bolt housing like that without a gasket and he too just ignored that bottom bolt as its a major pain to get on and off. so far it has held up without leaking without the bolt or a gasket. me personally i would run a gasket just to be safe.
When I had it on my car I ran it with a gasket and never has any problems with it leaking.

Don't mean to bring this thread back from the dead. I appreciate all the helpful input, but now my main concern is about not being able to tighten the bottom bolt. I do plan on running the metal gasket with rolled edges.

We have diff setups but on mine I got to the bottom bolts with a stubby 14mm wrench, got to em from the top or bottom...for the back one in my case was the hardest to get to and was not able to get to it without taking the manifold off, although I have the stock manifold and an fp black

Sorry bud, I am trying to get more insight from the people who have run this 5 bolt style without being able to tighten the bottom bolt. So far all I have gotten was good advice on the gasket, but only one second hand experience about not tightening it...
