Andrew tried breaking his ankle the first few days mashing the floor.
4.13 FD, gearing is pretty similar to the DSM auto actually.
Dunno but we are going to find out. One will be going in my car during the winter for testing and then race it next year. It is 30% larger than the DSM and has a much larger input shaft. We presume it should be able to do everything Jeff's car is given time.

Just a few inputs (TPS, RPM, a few others) as there is a separate trans controller for the auto. The motor continues to run the way its used to separate from the trans.
This is very interesting. I thought about this swap idea for the evo 4 but didnt want to pursue it if GTA JDM parts had to be used. Be a pain to have to source GTA parts when they were needed. So this US trans swap is a good idea in my book. Will be watching to see what kind of power it holds.
I have plans to swap my evo 1 to auto. There are loads of early JDM turbo autos on importers shelfs. They come with converter, tcase. Found one shop with 20 sitting in stock. and they only want 150 a pop. And as strong as they are stock it doesnt make any sense to even invest any more money in them. Just blue wire mod, good clean oil, and let it rip. When it fails pop in another one.

Jerry on those you can probably do a US 2G and then 3.307 ring and pinion swap I would think? We used a US trans as the base but it is much more than that now.
Can't wait to see this. I know Airtreks with I assume is the same auto seem to start blowing them from about 400hp I think. Most that get modified generally swap to manual, which I don' want to do.
I assume you run 2 ecu's? This has been something I've been contemplating, running the factory ecu to control the auto and a 2nd one from an Evo8MR I have lying around to get bigger maps etc. I just need to get the ecu and loom plugs and then some motivation at the moment, which is hard to do when the car is running so well.
