Evolution Evolved- English Racing presents the USDM Auto Evo
The 6A13 and those series of motors are the same I believe. We dont have those here either so I am not sure but I have heard rumors it uses the 4 cylinder pattern. The 6G stuff (6G72, 75, etc. 3000GT or GTO) is definitely different. The newer style stuff here that would use that will be the big SUVs from Mitsu/Hyundai/Kia and I believe the AWD Pacifica.

However the 6A13 trans is the same as the evo just with a different bellhousing.
6A13 uses the same bell housing as the 4G93/4 trans atleast the bolt pattern location is the same but it relocates the starter to the top vs the bottom like on the original AWD trans or a Evo trans.

Obviously the main reason we are looking into this (myself) is the drag racing aspect. Andrew is willing to toss the car down the quarter occasionally but is working on the Sportronic for the sequential aspect of the transmission.
The other benefits are people that for whatever reason CANNOT figure out a stick. I know them, they are out there. They grind every gear, can't take off on a hill, sit there with the clutch pushed in at a light, etc.
There are those that are paralyzed or in some other way not able to operate a clutch actuated transmission. A set of hand controls or just the Auto facet and now they can drive a car that they only could ride in before. I think there is tremendous application across the board. Now comes the hard part...testing.

I think that is one of the reasons the X MR is the way it is. Day late and dollar short on that one though for having a run of north american Evos spanning 5 years.
