UPDATE:

I finally received my 0.25" spacers I had water-jet cut before Christmas. I installed one of them on the car using the supplied gasket on the intake side and the stock gasket on the TB side. This resolved the idle issue I had likely associated with the vacuum leak. I had a total of 6 plates cut for spares and a few that were requested from members.

Like I stated in a previous post the new setup didn't play nice with the clutch and it now slips in 2-5 gear so it is time to upgrade. I had purchased an ACT 6-puck sprung clutch last year and will likely purchase the RRE 10.7lb no name flywheel to go with the combo. I hope to have the new clutch installed within the next three weeks. Once this is done I can finish the tune and post final results. It is still my hope to hit 509whp on 93octane with this setup, but we shall see.

i had one of those clutches in my evo 9 with the extreme duty pp. the street manners can be a little rough but not to horrible i wasnt making the power you are but the car went 12.36 with a 1.72 60ft. i pulled my motor out to build it and actually found out that the clutch was a hairs thickness away from the rivets but she was still grabbin launching at 6k like michael jackson at alittle kid!! even tho it was shot. the only thing i didnt like was there was chuncks of clutch material falling off the corners of the pucks

Who did you purchase the intake from? Also, what TB are you using? I had these cut 66.5mm for the bored TB.

I appreciate your feedback on this clutch. Just curious how many miles you had when it was inspected.

I ran a similar clutch on my 240Z datsun before swapping to a Powerglide tranny. The first few days the clutch chattered badly, but once it was worn in it was fine for daily driving. When it was removed it had little to no signs of wear, but definitely took the flywheel to task.

The 6-puck will handle your power levels without issue, I was running the same clutch and RRE flywheel making ~700whp. After a few thousand miles they tend to be more streetable and easier to daily drive.

Ahh scratch that, i ordered mine fron map which gets shipped from somewhere in cali. I hope this piece is worth its salt. Ill just go with a full blown tb since i thought i may run the stock tb but that seems like a waste altogether!

i dont think you'll have an issue getting the car over 500. the parts combination is definitely there now and the car is really waking up. all your hard work is paying off.

No big hump but could use some smoothing.

It was the floor of each port on my manifold that had a slight ramp just before it entered the head. Check to see if your intake has the same.
