A junk yard for the suppressor.

Off the top of my head, I am pretty sure the Toyota vehicles the Denso's COPs come out of also have a suppressor so you could order up one from Toyota and probably get it with a pigtail lead connector.

I'd probably try to get an o-scope on the signal line and see if the coil is potentially getting a bad signal though. The signal lines could be picking up noise off the other cylinders or something similar. Those LS coils are strong coils and that much energy can cause noise issues in the crank/cam signal lines and the ignition trigger lines.

Do you think this will be sufficient? BWD G120P and is $8 from Advance Auto.

I ordered all new connectors so I am waiting for them to come in. I also received new aluminum material for making a revised mount. I spoke with Haltech and they said there should be no issues running these coils and stated that I should not require any noise suppression to make them work. They said that I should verify the coils are good so I am going to do so this weekend.

I am going to run the new power wires to a relay so I know they have the correct voltage. I hope to have this issue diagnosed by the end of this coming weekend. I need to move on so I can start the 3.5" exhaust in preparation for the final dyno tune before I swap to the GTX3582r.

New connectors didn't arrive so I am finalizing the new mount.

I will try to test tomorrow by hot wiring to the battery until I have the relay in place.

Thanks, but there is still a problem. The rewire made a significant improvement, but there is still a miss under boost. I suspect the proximity of the wires to the coil ends may be affecting the signal.

I am going to first test the coils with a spark tester and if all is good I will convert to shielded wiring. What a pain, but making progress.

I use aem and they have many different tables for the EMS, so it can calculate what dwell to use under different conditions....

The Haltech can do the same, but I run dwell as a function of battery voltage only. Therefore, it should not be an issue of dwell time.

Couldn't that much dwell up in the higher revs be the issue? The short time b/t spark events up there might be y its breaking up.

Any luck with resolving your problem?
You could be chasing your tail if one of your coils are faulty

Going to test the coils next with a spark tester
