Here is another pic from another angle.
I'm using D513A coils, but the Yukon are D585.

I did research into these about 1.5 years ago.
Here is a youtube video of a D580 vs a D585 coil. The results were very interesting

The D580 coils are the LS1 coils and are less powerful than newer versions.

The coils I have (D514a) and the truck version (D585) are both next generation and better than the D580. However, between the D514a and D585 I am not sure which is better. Unfortunately, I have no information on the D513a that you use. I suspect they are all better than the D580, which will likely be better than stock or the COP's.

according to the information that i posted, the D585 are definitely the best coils you can get from that range of cars.

GTX3576r UPDATE:

The car is knocking(3 count) on the top end (>7k rpm), but initial results are 522hp on 93 octane in slightly warmer weather. Spool is equivalent to GTX3076r and the car makes 29.5psi @4093rpm in 3rd gear. I need to let the coolant burp and pull some timing on top(8deg total). I will make a run in the morning when the temp is 39F so I have comparative numbers vs. the GTX3076r. Expect results with graphs tomorrow AM in the Dyno Section.

UPDATE:
Unfortunately, I have too may things happening at once. I am very happy with the results thus far, but i see so much more potential in the setup. I recently purchased some new goodies so I will be updating with pics and results in the coming weeks. The following items have been purchased and will be added soon:

- Purchased Enkie RPF1 rims/tires (36lbs savings)
- Purchased GiroDisk LW rotors
- Purchased Curt Brown's 10:1 built 2L bottom end
- Purchased Haltech Platinum Pro PnP unit
- Purchased Full Blown 70mm TB
- Purchased Curt Brown's new Extreme Ported stock intake w/70mm flange
- Purchased GTX3582r

The plan is to dial in the Haltech unit on speed density and then swap the built bottom end. Once I get that up a running with the new intake/tb I will then fabricate a custom 3.5" dp/exhaust. After this is complete and baseline'd I will swap to the GTX3582r and do a before after with the current GTX3576r.

I suspect with all the changes the new setup with the GTX3582r will spool as fast as my current GTX3576r. My goal is to get 25psi@4krpm in 3rd gear on pump gas and have a solid 600hp@wheels.

You're making me want to go back to a large frame setup... I'm thoroughly impressed by these GTX turbos. They spool like a stock frame minus the taper.

UPDATE:

I have been silent for a while, but still working to improve the system. Instead of working on the engine I have been addressing brakes, rims, and tires.

Since Curt Brown decided to part out his car I took advantage of some goodies I wanted to upgrade.

Installed the light weight GiroDisc rotors along with the Enkie RPF1 rims with Cont. Extreme tires. Total savings was ~56lbs vs the stock stuff I was using. While the brake were off I decided to repaint the calipers and run new SS brake lines. What a pain, but the results are great.

So now that this is done I can move on to the next phase. While the deals were still good I also purchased Curt's 10:1 2L shortblock so I can push the engine a bit harder. I will likely not swap this until June when I have sufficient time.

Once this is done I can fabricate a 3.5" downpipe and exhaust. I will then install the Haltech Platinum Pro PnP I purchased so that I can eliminate the restrictive MAF.

Final step will be the GTX Showdown Part II as I compare the before and after with the current GTX3576r vs the GTX3582r I recently purchased.

UPDATE:

I made a change to the Intake Manifold going from the Skunk2/stock TB to a Curt Brown Extreme Port/70mm Full Blown TB. The intake has a 1/2" flange welded to the inlet to accommodate for the 70mm TB, which does required a minor mod to the throttle cable to account for the added distance. I will post some pics later of the setup, but below are the before/after results. No other change was made to the car for these results except manifold swap.

The results where obtained 24hrs apart with temps ~80F. The VD results are using the new settings based on reduced weight(55lbs) and new tire diameter(25"). The runs are done after the engine was running for some time. I can definitely feel the lower end torque and the idle quality is much better.

You do see a loss in higher temps vs lower temps, which in this case is ~38F vs 80F. This affects both the cooling efficiencies and AFR, which influence power. I am also comparing a non heat soaked run vs a heat soaked run. Finally, the biggest difference is that I was running 2psi more boost in the colder climate.

Below is the comparison of the recent Skunk intake run with the graph you referenced from January(actually March).
