Weird problem with turbo

First of all I am sorry for my english/explanation, my problem started when i switched from evo 9 turbo to HTA71

i think it is called sputtering, on certain boost level it feels/hears like there is solenoid put on pipe and it opens and closes really quick, than when it hits 20psi it stops all the way to maximum 26psi, car pulls great, was tuned, made 400whp no problems(could do more but injectors are maxed out), i would not really care about it but i want to sell car and i want it to be mechanically souund

thank you

When you swapped turbos did you get retuned for it? You could be hitting a boost cut due to higher load. Check your spark plugs too.

Does it sound like your BOV is opening and closing? Does it sound like it is realesing air when it opens?

it is called surging!! it happens when u r at partial throttle &/or wide open throttle... this happens when u don't have anti-surge compressor or really stiff spring BOV... this happen to me when i got my car tuned with 9 turbo....only surges at part throttle

Do you have an adjustable DV (Forge RS, etc)? Try playing with the load on the spring for the DV to see if you can minimize the issue. Try cranking it all of the way down first.

If you have a friend that is willing to swap out his BOV with yours, give it a try...rule that out first.

Its surging because your in too high of a gear and too low of a rpm to start boosting. That's what happens when you switch to a larger turbo.
