K1 H Beam Conrods

Hi Guys

could people / tunner share with me their view of the KI's H Beam rods.

What power they have seen them run to?
What power they see as a safe limit for a road caar?
And is their any knowledge of any failures of the rods in an evo

Thanks Jamie

k1 is owned by wiseco.

I believe they're forged overseas, and "finished" here.

Most people say 600hp/450-500ft lbs of torque is a good place to stop on most h beams.

Never heard anything bad about the k1 rods.

DB showed it can make 600/600...And it spools fast as hell...I'd say a maxed hta3076 would be too much for an h beam. I've seen h beams live under high hp bigger, laggier, non torque making turbos though. I'd say they'd be happier with a bigger 35r variant and less torque.

There are a lot more qualified people here to answer other than me though. Maybe one of them will chime in.

Call Wiseco and talk to Ron shearer, he seems to know a lot about them.

Also kiggly run's K1s, while not off the shelf K1s they are still pretty close to these.

Run them before the price goes up!

I wouldnt be afraid of them anymore than Eagles, Manley H beams, Carillo Non PRO-H H beams, etc.

If Kevin has indeed been using these I definitely wouldnt be afraid. After his contributions to the 1400HD I am sure the rods are up to snuff. I thought he had still been using CROWER rods though?

We have made 730whp/561 ft lbs of torque on Eagles so I am sure they'd be fine.
