Guys ...this is a subjective issue. My dealership is very cool. That is all I can say. If you need help, there are some federal regulations. Do some searches on the Inet for Magnusson-Moss Act.

I've already budgeted that if the engine goes, I'm going to break out the credit card and rebuild it with only the choicest parts... This car is very well put together regardless of the whining here, so I don't anticipate blowing anything up. If you all notice, most big problems occur because of one of the following things (none of which I plan to do): 1) Drag racing, 2) excessive boost - 24+ psi, 3) inexperienced driving - missed shifts, etc., 4) use of crap parts for mods. I think a boost controller to keep steady boost around 20 psi, upgraded fuel pump, intake/exhaust and some fuel management (AFC, reflash, piggyback) will be just fine. It's when some serious horsepower comes into play that the problems pop up. When buying the Evo, you should consider that you'll need to budget for tires, mods, and the problems that could come with mods. That's why it's sad to see so many Evos for sale where owners didn't consider that stuff...

When I bought my EVO the dealer said that if they do the instalation of the parts/mods the warrenty would not be voided. I was wondering if any body has heard this before.

I would get that in writing, signed by the service manager in front of witnesses...otherwise, it doesn't mean jack...
