Hi I Just bought an EVO 8 gsr and so far so good.

But my friend tried to launch it and while he didnt roast it, it did smell.

Its a stock clutch and has around 10k on the clutch.

Now in 5th gear, when I floor it it slips from 3kish to 4/5kish.

But if I'm in power band and go to 7k in 4th gear and shift to 5th and floor it no problems.

Is it glazed?




As far as power goes its stock.

I dont plan to do any power mods for awhile which then Ill change it. Right now I just want to put wheels on it and some nice coil overs.

Could have glazed it.

If it don't slip for you while driving after a while you should be okay.

NOTE: DON'T LET HIM DRIVE IT AGAIN.

What if the Transfer case took a crap,would he pay you for it??
