The HP shouldn't fall off as the RPM's raise, some of the curves I am seeing from these so called tuners look like downhill ski slopes! You will see ours are uphill to the end of the pull or atleast flat.

Check it out for yourself. Hell, you can use our AFC charts up now and see. Just wait until we post the flash results.
OK.

Neglecting "bull****" dyno differences (yours being FWD and involving converting the Evo to FWD, not being load-controlled, whp not being comparable), let's just look at the shape of the curves as you suggest.

Your AFC tune makes about 22% off peak torque at 7200rpm compared to the other tune's 17%. Also, your peak torque curiously comes about 700rpm later and for some reason lasts only about 250rpm?

Hopefully the BuschurFlashed dyno charts will be more interesting.

Then why not mix some 100 octane to get somewhere close to 94 and compare results???
Man, it sounds like everyone should ditch there dynos and go run out and buy the Almighty Dyno Dynamics dyno

Because, contrary to popular belief, being "somewhere close" is not good enough when octane is concerned. Also, if we were only interested in playing the my-number-is-bigger-than-yours game, we wouldn't use the DD dyno. Please, for the sake of this thread, let's try to keep it reasonably free of sarcasm and flaming.

shiv

This thread is already gearing up to get ugly and that sucks.

I like both vendors and would give my money to Buschur Racing again (already spent over $1100 there) in a heartbeat, but I'll never give a penny of my money to that liar blowhard Al.

Bottom line, I need to know what involvement Tym has in this tuning and if Al gets any financial kickback. I will still buy from Buschur and will always support David, but probably not the reflash if its connected to Dynoflash.

Al wading into Buschur's ECU business is like having a smelly dead skunk in the corner of an otherwise near-perfect shop.

If Al's dishonest hands are in this, then the decision will be easier: My tuning business will 100% go to Pleasanton, California.

Uh.. that was a joke in reference to all the defamatory comments in his post. Comments we usually see from Al. See the little winky? If it was interpreted as an attack, let me apologize right now before the cavalry arrives. Now let us get back to the thread.

Lucky for us AL was the one that got banned huh, cuz he was the trouble maker!

David thanks for coming on line and saying that AL's product is the real deal and a bargain at that. You can go elsewhere and get shafted or pay al a small fee and get a product that works just as well if not better.

And you reached this conclusion how? Controlled independant testing of both offerings. Or simply by comparing hp claims from independant tuners, testing their products by completely different means.

If it's as simply as the latter, I can offer the following: Stock cars running 93-94 octane on a AWD DD dyno put down 205whp. On 2WD dynojets, according to Dave B., they put down 260whp. Assuming this to be true, a DD-to-Dynojet Correction factor is 1.27 (260/205).

EVO's on 100 octane, running our 3" catless exhaust, cam gears and XEDE put down 300whp on the DD dyno. Multiply by 1.27 (for 2wd Dynojet equivalence) and you get 380whp. No cams. No FMIC. No injector upgrade. And thankfully, no S-AFC.

Don't like the DD-to-Dynojet correction factor? Okay, how about a 2WD Dynojet to 4WD Dynojet correction factor. On 2WD Dynojets, Dave is seeing 260whp. On 4WD Dynojets, everyone else is seeing 225-235whp. Let's settle for 230whp for the sake of the argument. As such, the AWD-to-2WD Correction factor is 1.13. On all of our tuning trips to the AWD dynojets at Pruven and BM Tranny, all of our Stage 1 cars (turbo-back with cat, cam gears and XEDE) make 310-320whp on 93 octane. Let's settle for 315whp as an average. Multiply by 1.13 and we get 356whp on a 2wd dyno. Stick in a test pipe, and expect hp to rise another 15whp and we get to 370whp on 93 octane. Again, no cams, no FMIC, no injector upgrade and no S-AFC.

Of course, this is all fun with numbers and not to be confused with fact. But since numbers are gospel in some circles, I offer this as a counterpoint to Dave B's comments disparaging our offerings and tuning services. As always, YMMV...

Best Regards,
Shiv

I am done with flames and negative attacks

Let me just pause and pay respect and humble reverence to the godfather of US 4g63 performance.

Special Thanks to Dave Buschur and Tym for the opportunity to sit back and watch as two masters of the 4g63 gave me a lesson in DSM tuning 101

After tuning over 300 Evos with my Dyno Flash it was time to search further for answers and learn from the best in the business and the most classy and decent guys you could ever meet.

This Buschur Flash is a Buschur product - its tuned by Dave and Tym - they call the shots and you can only get these tunes through Buschur Racing - exclusive.

Frankly - a few hours after leaving Buschur - I am still blown away by the amazing facility, professional employees and MOST importantly - the vision and future products you will see in the near future. In particular the coil packs and turbo cast manifold are visionary and can not be found anywheere else at any cost.

In order to achieve thye highest level of reflash potential, I was very greatful to recieve the guidance of team buschur and the insight to take things to a unheard of level.

When you guys see the dyno sheets - your mouths will drop when you realize this has been done on kits which retail for less than $4,000

At the end of the day the Buschur tuned Buschur Flash was making within 18 whp and 18 ft lbs to trq of the AEM set up they used with no mass air flow restriction and the 4 coil upgrade ign system - as we all know that set up is the quikest stock turbo evo ever.

Frankly, I am still in a state of shock to see the stock turbo making that mind of power in a set up which runs like a stock evo in all respects.

I knew when I decided to drive the 20 hour round trip that it was going to be worth my effort - but still - i am in SHOCK.

Do not underestimate the genious of these guys when it comes to 4g63 tuning. Maybe the fact that they have been doing this so long has something to do with the fact that they have these motors MASTERED.

Its no accident that buschur holds so many milestones and records in DSM racing.

Might I suggest - before all the aim chair quater backs and haters start making neagative comments - PLEASE - wait till they get these dyno sheets up and take a look at the power curves - then pass your judgment.

Thanks again Team Buschur for an opportunity to learn from the best!

So Buschur has their own reflash machine now? I'm a little confused
