Yes. I'd like to see Buschur/Al promote their products without giving inaccurate references, direct or indirect, to us, our products and our services. While I'm flattered that they use us a standard, I wish they'd adopt another way of self-promotion. If we had a dollar for every private email/PM that quoted these gentlemen spreading misinformation about us, we wouldn't need to work.

And Dave, Al commented to a friend that you refer to me as another 4-letter word that starts with the same three letters. I expect someone with your level of intelligence and education to think of something a bit more creative.

It would be nice if we could just do our own things and get on with business, no?

Regards,
shiv

I don't have any upgrades on my Evo yet, but anyone else notice that one of these "tuners" has stated his case and not gotten into a petty bickering session? Props to Dave for that.

Best HP numbers mean some things, class means something else totally.

Hey Shiv, why not just let your numbers speak for themselves and not get into bickering? If your skin is that thin, you shouldn't be in retail.

I expect to be flamed, for that is the level this has dropped to.

In the past, you have told Al to step back from the keyboard before he responds. You need a little of your own medicine. Wow, this sounds like a whiney little 4 year old.

Thanks for giving me a good laugh today.

Shiv,

Can you not see that the mark of an intelligent, self-confident business man is to simply not respond to information (or misinformation) from a competitor, client, etc. It serves no useful purpose, and makes you appear to be as bad as those that you dispute. Just stop responding and focus on the quality and marketing of your own apparently very good products.

I would agree with you in some other forums of communication. But here, the problem with ignorning said comments is that there are many readers who will never attempt to confirm or confront those comments with evidence. Instead, they take them as fact. This is how misinformation displaces information in this industry. It's unfortunate but it's true. Trust me, I can think of better things to do with my Saturday than be involved with this thread if I didn't feel this way.

shiv

Newbie Question

David,

Newbie Questions:

I already have a cat-back (JIC) and reflash from Works....However, if I wanted to go with your stage 2 or 3, can I keep my cat-back? Can you over-ride the Works reflash or will it have to be set back to stock by Works?

Also, I want to keep the cat and possibly run your 2.5 downpipe vs. 3inch to accomadate stock cat or bolt on highflow cat - Can we still do the reflash?

Lastly, does having the reflash mean that no SFC is required?

Thanks in Advance - Rob

With all due respect

Speaking for myself, I'm sick of all the negative energy that gets produced when ever Al and Shiv cross paths in any way....Regardless of how well educated and articulate they attempt to be, or how many smiley faces are added to their posts. It still sucks the life out of evolutionm.net and makes me want to avoid both of them in any context.

Moderators - Is there any way of restarting/editing this thread for legit questions and concerns regarding David's original post???

This is the main reason why left a local speed shop due to this blatent tossing of "words" at each other. you two make outstanding products. youboth have backgrounds in different cars {scooby vs dsm} now that you two have encountered the same vehicle with the same interest in the "ecu" mods and other things you end up trying tocut each others throats over it.

i have the sudden feeling somewhere there is a elemtry teacher smacking you two with rulers about this.

"he said this, he said that, his numbers are fake, his product sucks. "
anyone else have a sinking feeling lie some sort of "playground rivalry" is going on here?

ever thought maybe this is retarded and props should be given to each other for what THEY have done for this little machine, and what WILL be done in the future for the sport and the aftermarket industry as a whole?

just my could of pennies, then again, what do i know.

can not answer the question on what Dave would recomend about the exhuast - but on your other two questions :

1 - Any reflasher can write over a reflash from someone else - all the reflashes out there all use the same softwear.

2 - and Yes - having the reflash means no SAFC is required. You CAN add a SAFC though IF you want to to have some end user adjustability and to set it for race gas use, etc.

As far as the exhuast compatability with Buschur Flash - I'll leave that to Dave or Tym to answer as they recomend

Hey, Oxygen thief, I'd like to see where Buschur referenced your nonexistant accomplishments. He was merely stating that who cares what dyno it's tested on, AWD vs. FWD, gains are gains, and area under the curve will still be under the curve. If I'm not mistaken I had thought you were a fellow nearing middle age who was not as immateur as you're making yourself look. Trying to discredit David by alleging that he made reference to your lackluster results in his post is ludacris, and you should be ashamed.

Ya know what, It would be nice if you could keep your *** out of this thread. Give credit where credit is due, and that goes to David and Tym on this one. If you don't like that, you can shove it up your *** you clown. Don't get your labcoat dirty Shiv, the price of fame is going up and you're not going to be able to dryclean as often.
