Buschur Flashed........WOW.
I hate when I get this fired up.
I keep thinking about being accused of starting this because I wasn't specific enough about which shop I was talking about. That bothers me. Believe it or not I wasn't trying to start anything. I was hoping you guys would look at various charts for yourself and see for yourselves.
Now that I am on that again I went back again to the two charts that were posted. Here is even more comparison and even more reasons you shouldn't have used that and referred to ours as basically crappy.
RPM Buschur's torque Shiv's torque
5,000 320 268
5500 325 263
6000 320 260
6500 310 235
7000 280 230
Do what you want with the numbers and information, you posted the charts and I had never taken more than a quick glance at them before. I never compared ours to others until you posted this, I like what I am seeing though
I SUCK on computers. I will try and get Tym to get the dyno charts up first thing on Monday for the flashes. More than likely they will get posted to our site first under the stages. Take a look there Monday afternoon.
Thanks all,
David Buschur

Oh yeah, let me clear something else up. I don't actually "suck on computers" what I meant was I suck when using computers, no that's not it either. I don't know crap about computers! THAT'S IT, THAT'S IT!!! haha
Lighten up guys.

Dave/Al,
I'm not so sure this will get a response due to the high level of bull**** noise in this thread but I'll give it a try anyway...
In posts made to this forum I've read that in order to account for the various operating nuances from car to car, a slightly more conservative AFR is used for mail based ECU flashes. As I understand it, this provides a certain margin of safety. Is this also the case for the BuschurFlash? If so, can appreciable gains be made by subjecting the car to a custom tune?
Thanks,
Steve

I really dont understand how we can honestly compare the two dyno's and graphs.
2 different dynos, and two different ways of testing. One tests the car in AWD, and the other as converted to 2WD.
Knowing that, we all know that the car that is converted to 2WD will make more power on the dyno, because of the less stuff it has to spin. And probably make those power figuires a few RPM sooner than a car that is still driving all its wheels.
Also, we all know that the dyno Shiv uses reads substantially lower than a dyno jet, AWD, and 2WD. So it is again unfair to compare peak numbers. So it seems to me that Buscher is at an advantage in the #'s war, as he has a 2WD dynojet, and his car is converted to 2WD.
So if some uneducated person were to just look at the graphs or the curves they might be misled and think that one makes all this power, and does it sooner in RPM's.
I'm not looking to start stuff, it's just my take on the whole situation. The only way to accurately compare the two, as we all know would be on the same dyno, same day, same gas, blah, blah, blah.
Also not being a wise ***, a question for Dave:
After all these years tuning these cars and building quite a repectable name for yourself, why havent you purchased an AWD dyno of some sort?
Thanks guys! Lets keep this thread clean!

that is one hell of a good question johnyevo!!!!!!!!
LOLOLOL,,,,,,,,how long have these things been awd?
12 years? And wouldnt the customer expect to have their awd car dynoed on an awd dyno, instead of disconecting the drive shaft?

Maybeeee OT but...
Dave, I went road racing with NASA today HPDE class 4 in Glendale AZ I passed every M3 (7 from intake/exhaust mods to lowered and strutted) every STI/WRX (2) every Porsche (2/914-6s 2/944 Turbos a couple of 911's and a 911 America R and a completely tracked out 944 turbo with racing rubber/full cage and stripped interior. Now the 2 vette z06s... If I started in front of the "stocker" I could put time on him if I was behind he couldn't get away but I couldn't pass him (to fast on the straights... main straight =125 on the rev limiter in my EVO) The z06 with 40K in mods and hoosier track rubber could put about 2 car lengths in a 1.4mile lap (but I would catch him everytime we hit traffic ;-) ). Every one of the German and American Iron drivers wanted to know "what the hell have you done to that motor" I just loved telling them $3,000.00 in BOLT_ON mods from Buschur racing they were amazed (half didn't believe me and wanted to know who built the race motor/which cams/cam gears HKS-Jun-works etc!)every one of those disbelivers made me open the hood so the could see for themselves.... and then just walked away shaking their heads thinking 35K 4 door sedan/rice rocket/fat/gray/46yo driver with a stock motor, stock suspension, rear sway bar and bolt ons just passed my expensive track day car?( I'm thinking THANK YOU DAVID TYM JEROD and everyone else at Buschur Racing that I don't know, Vivid Racing for the sway bar, grounding kit, SS breaklines, fuel rail, BillyBoat exhaust,(Iknow it's heavy but I love the sound..., ), battery relocate kit and the toyo's Dan, Rob, Mike and Shane). The rest of the guys on EvoM may just think Buschur Racing just build drag racing optimized parts.... I know much better now.
How much for the Stage 4 flash?
PS I took out the IC sprayer because you don't need it with your FMIC (and I didn't want the extra 30 lbs in the front end) no loss in power/ drop in laptimes over each 20 minute session! 23 lbs Boost 110VP leaded race gas... Water temp rock solid too (dropping the top of the IC very smart= more cool air to the radiator).
One very satisfied Customer!!!!!!

I am dead certain that no one has ever seen ANY stock turbo dyno sheets that look like these do. Just over 370 whp and 370 ft lbs at the wheels (on a stock turbo) TO ME seems like something that you would expect to see on a V8 chevy (with mods). I am frankly amazed by the trq levels and the broad, wide, flat power bands that were created.
Dave is totally correct when he asserts that the vast majority of other dyno sheets - MINE included - do not measure up on the top end power fall off. Basically, Dave and Tym already knew exactly what they wanted to modify in my tuning maps to resolve the issue and what they had planned worked like a charm.
Basically what they have created here is a mater piece. I can not wait for an opportunity to drive one of these Buschur Flashed cars on some dry roads. Its going to be an amazingly enjoyable car to drive. By way of comparision, they are making 20 ft lbs more trq, 1,000 rpms sooner than my 3037s equiped Evo with fully built motor and modified head.
Frankly - I was blown away that they could dyno in a closed room with no fan in 4th gear and make those kind of numbers. If the car can survive under those brutal conditions you will never have an issue when driving the car with air flow over the front.
Finally - despite those brutal testing conditions, the knock counts measured were significantly lower than even a stock evo. In fact, the detonation was lower than any other evo I have tested. I atrribute this to both the innovative approach to tuning as well as the massive capacity of the fmic and its unique design. Given the tendancy of the stock ecu to immedietely pull timing when any detonation is present, the creation of totally flat, linear power bands like these require intercooling and hardwear design which all work to minimize knock activity. Unlike other tuners who alter the factory knock sensor signals to achive smoother power bands - these Buscher Flashed units retain 100% of the stock factory knock protection which is a very important saftey feature.

Attention all newbies: Buscher has just became a partner with a known deceitful tuner named Al. Al was just banned from selling his product because he lied repeatedly, using false user names in order to hype his own product. Apparently, Buscher is admitting that his use SAFC is a little outdated and has gone into business with Al.
What is surprising to me is that Buscher is comparing numbers from two different dynos. His dyno lies by converting our AWD car to 2 wheel drive on an INERTIAL dyno. Vishnu uses an AWD load-bearing dyno that shows lower numbers but is a better tool for tuning. Don't believe the hype of Buscher's higher numbers because it exaggerates. Do your research before you buy is all I have to say.

Hey Dingbat90gsx, today I ran 12.6 at 111mph with just Vishnus exhaust system and Xede. Go to the drag racing forum to see for yourself.
Now that you just made yourself look a little dumb, could you please tell me what I said that is not FACTUALLY true? I just can't believe David B. would partner with Al!

Attn Newbes, Smogrunner hasn't dealt with these vendors and I hope Shiv will do as Dave asked stay off this (Dave's) thread and start his own thread if he has problems with someone else's claims.
Of course if he does he will just sick his rabid vishnu post ******/gruppies to spout DSM God heresy ;-) (note the old school nonresponsibility avoidance device).
Cheers

Finally, this thread belongs to all. It is not posted in any Vendor forum. Everyone is entitled to their say. I haven't used profanity or made any outrageous insults. What I have said here is backed up by truth: I'm not just slinging wild insults like David B. did with his Vishnu acronym.

I never lied to anyone. ALL my customers are fully satisfied and I will give any one a full refund who is not happy.
I am not cheating anyone - I am offering a fair product at a fair price.
I invested every penny I have in reflashing equipment, wide bands, data loggers, computers, dyno time and a lot of time and expense in R & D work to make a great product. Check out what some of my customers have to say on this forum and you will see I am not about ripping anyone off.
Any one with any brains what so ever realizes that Dyno Flash was banned simply becuase it was a great product and it was selling at a very resaonable price - and worse of all - it was selling it like crazy - taking market share from other tuners.
I think any one who is even remotely honest about reality will realize that the very close relationship between Shiv and KK is a very tellling factor in why I was banned from SELLING items on this forum - OR from even discussing my product sales. Meanwhile the worst offenders in the trash talking flame fests continue as if nothing happend.
The purpose of banning Dyno Flash was simply to hurt my business.
These kind of UGLY sneaky and underhanded tactics are the kind of things that should never happen - but lets face reality - things happen.
Just to set the record straight - there was a vote on this forum and the vast magority of members here voted to reinstate Dyno Flash.
While these events have caused me a great deal of personal distress and seriously hurt my young company's sales, its not going to stop me from doing what I do.
The specter of the ugly and mean actions that have been inflicted on me has created a dark cloud over these forums. People, like myself who spend long hours posting here are being made a mockery of. While the leadership here is making a killing every month from advertising revenues - we all are the ones who are here supporting this forum and contributing the very fiber of the forum - the discussion that we are now engaged in.
The sad reality is that Vishnu has adopted a massive negative marketing plan in which ANY thread of any competing product is attacked my either Shiv personally or by his core crew of instigators who see to it that all technical threads regarding competing products turn into insane pissing matches.
Meanwhile - Vishnu keeps posting his propiganda on his own section of the forum where he santizes the discussion by deleting any critical posts and banning anyone with a dieffering view point.
Luckily for me - the vast majority of Evo owners are smart enough to see through these very primaitive and crude maffia like methods which are being used to attack people who are just trying to earn a living and sell competing products.
