Just my observations...
I've been reading this board for quite some time, even before the Evo was in the U.S. and have seen it grow. What happened to you here was your own doing, no one elses. Blame yourself. And from what i've gathered through reading months of posts from Shiv and yourself is that it's in your best interest for your mental well being to not get into it with Shiv, because you can't seem to break Shiv as he has does to you. He'll call you on every falicy you post about him or his products. He has that right. Some may not like it, but for every customer people think Shiv loses for posting his toughts he gains more than 1 to make up for it. You're rivalry with Shiv dates back to NAISOC. Shiv is like an idol to you. You wish you could have the knowledge and charisma he has. You don't. That's how i read and see it.

I am no President.

I am a simple guy who likes Evos and had a dream to make a few bucks to cover my car parts bills tuning them.

Anyone who knows me in person knows I live, sleep and **** evos and I spend most of my time either posting here or working on my Evo. Like anyone else who really enjoys something - I decided to try and earn a living doing it.

I bought a machine, learned to use it and enjoy what I am doing.

Somehow, my path has collided with these evil, nasty forces that want to stop me from doing what I like to do.

Frankly, I have other concerns and prorities and really don;t want to waste any more time arguing with a bunch of idiots - NONE of which would have the nerve to say half of the **** they are posting here behind the security of a screen name to my face.

I'm amazed Dave starts a thread.... Shiv bashes it... Dave asks him to go away.... he doesn't.... shiv's customers start bashing Al/dynoflash on Dave's thread(jacking it).... Al defends himself... They (the Vishnu mafia smells blood) and keep jacking the thread. Why? to discredit Dave????Is this the way you protect your vendors????( If I was Dave I'd be really pissed) is this the way you (collective moderators/admins) run an unbiased forum???? A few pm's quickly done with 1 warning on the pm to stop...right then don't repost to the listed thread. if they don't 1 time out right then!!!Force the offendors to stop right then. Or is this really the evolutionm.vishnu.net forum (will shiv pay all your IT bills??) and you just haven't changed the URL yet????

No one is going to break me. I am just done with this. I've made a personal decision that I am better from this and I am going to try and be more positive in my remarks in the future.

This is a LOOSE / LOOSE situation - there are no winners.

What started as a bizzare pastime on NASIOC has now sprialed into a quite ugly and unpleasant SOP here on Evom.

I sure did a lot of things I shouldn;t have and made my fair share of stupid moves. Lets face it, I'm not your typical 9 - 5 guys who drives a lexus. I am a hare core gear head / evo maniac and I probably have about 20 screws loose.

Did you waste hours of your time reading my ramblings on this forum - sorry I guess you must be fairly wierd yourself.

I love all you guys, I love my evo and this is one great forum.

Believe me when I say there is a lot of mud and dirt to sling back at Shiv. Its just not going to help me, the forum or Shiv.

This is all a giant waste of time.

And BTW - Shiv is no idol to me. I leaned a lot from him on car tuning but he has a lot to learn about how to act.

If it makes all you guys feel better - you win - I give up - I've had enough. Go ahead - get the last word - be my guest.

In the intrest of fairness, I think I should say that Al started first with the whole DynoFlash ban thing. And, sadly, I dont have an Evo, the combined monthly payment and insurance would kill me.

 

As I stated earlier my car is stock. I don't have anything Vishnu, nor am I arguing or standing up for Shiv or you. I'm just pointing out some things I've consistently have seen on EvoM. I'm speaking up because I have a brain, which you claimed some of us don't and that i'm not a lemming and can make up my own decisions and read between the lines. Don't insult people's intelligence or lack of.
You're right... it is a waste of time and probably won't help you. This isn't a contest, so nobody here wins.

 

I am an historian by trade so lets do a simple research project: Go to D. Buscher's website to his staged upgrades section and look at the 1/4 trap speed of his Stage 3 EVO. It is 111.2 and Buscher claims 343 horsepower.

Now look at my car. It is a Vishnu Stage One Evo rated at 276 horsepower on the Vishnu dyno when using 98 octane. (All my dyno sheets are on EVOM as are my time slips)

Wow! Buscher makes 67 more horsepower with lower octane fuel, RIGHT? Well, I can garantee that Buscher didn't use an amatuer driver like me to run that 111.2 trap speed, right? His team is unparalleled in this arena. OK then, today I ran 110.97 mph trap: This was the fourth run of my life and my trap is just .2 MPH behind the Buscher Stage 3 that is loaded with intake, ic piping, etc. that mine doesn't have. So Metaphysical, how do you explain my car and Buschers being about the same with his making 343 and mine making 276?

Well, regardless of all the highjacking attempts at this thread and the never ending Al bashing, the apparent truth is that Buschur with his colaboration with Al has the most credible and affordable path to upgrading the EVO. I'm going to go with Buschurs reflash and as many of his products that I can. I know that I'm probably gonna get blasted by Shiv's loyal buddies, but newbies should first read up on DSM history. The EVO shares the 4g63 with the DSMs. Please read up on DSMs, their history and who's been building, tuning and running the fastest and most powerful 4g63 powered cars...... (hint, it's not Vishnu) <----- smiley

 

david i stand by my original assessment of your AFC-tuned race gas torque curve vs. vishnu's.

i am not sure what algebra you are employing that has you gaining torque between 5k and 5.5k rpm but i will assume in your enthusiasm you made a typo.

i did not post the hp chart corresponding to the vishnu torque chart for sake of brevity. obviously the torque curve implies the hp curve and i didn't need to insult anyone's intelligence (as you did by comparing absolute dyno numbers rather than curve features).

had i posted the hp curve, you would have noticed that the vishnu hp climbs as does yours until about 7000rpm. where is the "****ti"ness? oh heck, decide for yourselves folks:






as i said, it will be more interesting to compare the BuschurFlash'ed chart.
